Introduction: Few studies are about the relationship between anemia and obesity, and previous studies have only paid attention to BMI.

Methods And Results: We first included body fat percentage (BF%) as an assessment indicator and divided it into quartiles, grouped participants into obesity and non-obesity used data from NHANES database. After adjustment for age, gender, ethnicity, education and family income, the level of soluble transferrin receptor (sTfR), and incidence of elevated CRP or HsCRP were progressively higher with increased BF%, whereas mean cell volume (MCV), natural logarithm (Ln) serum ferritin (SF), and Ln SF/sTfR were progressively reduced.

Background And Aims: In this study, we carried out a clinical sample study, and in vivo and in vitro studies to evaluate the effect of SIRT6 and SIRT6-mediated vascular smooth muscle senescence on the development of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA).

Method And Results: AAA specimen showed an increased P16, P21 level and a decreased SIRT6 level compared with control aorta. Time curve study of Ang II infusion AAA model showed similar P16, P21 and SIRT6 changes at the early phase of AAA induction.

A Ag@AuNP-functionalized capillary-based surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) sensing platform for the interference-free detection of glucose using SERS tags with a built-in nitrile signal has been proposed in this work. Capillary-based SERS capture substrates were prepared by connecting 4-mercaptophenylboronic acid (MBA) to the surface of the Ag@AuNP layer anchored on the inner wall of the capillaries. The SERS tags with a built-in interference-free signal could then be fixed onto the Ag@AuNP layer of the capillary-based capture substrate based on the distinguished feature of glucose, which can form a bidentate glucose-boronic complex.
