Ulinastatin Reduces the Severity of Intestinal Damage in the Neonatal Rat Model of Necrotizing Enterocolitis.

BACKGROUND Ulinastatin is a protease inhibitor derived from urine that has shown anti-inflammatory effects in human disease, including in sepsis. Necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) is a common gastrointestinal disease in premature infants. Our aim was to explore the effects of ulinastatin on a neonatal NEC rat model.

Low-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels are positively associated with the risk of endobronchial biopsy-induced refractory hemorrhage in patients with lung cancer.

Background: Lipoprotein concentrations have been associated with the major risk of bleeding events. However, whether plasma levels of LDL-C are associated with the risk of biopsy-related endobronchial hemorrhage remain elusive. Therefore, the present study was initiated to investigate the explicit association of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) with endobronchial biopsy (EBB)-induced refractory hemorrhage in patients with lung cancer.

[Effect of different working time on the prognosis of ischemic stroke patients undergoing intravenous thrombolysis].

Objective: To investigate the effect of working time on the prognosis of patients with ischemic stroke undergoing intravenous thrombolysis.

Methods: Clinical data of 3050 patients with ischemic stroke received intravenous thrombolysis from 71 hospitals in Zhejiang Province during June 2017 and September 2018 were retrospective analyzed. Whole day of Saturday and Sunday were defined as weekend; whole day of Monday to Friday were defined as weekdays; Monday to Friday 8:00-17:00 were defined as daytime of weekdays; Monday to Friday 17:01-07:59 on next day were defined as nights of weekdays; unconventional working time were defined as weekend and nights of weekdays.

[Analysis of intravenous thrombolysis time and prognosis in patients with in-hospital stroke].

Objective: To compare the time delay between in-hospital stroke and out-of-hospital stroke patients, and to explore the influence factors for the prognosis of in-hospital stroke patients treated by intravenous thrombolysis.

Methods: Clinical data of 3050 patients with ischemic stroke who received intravenous thrombolysis in 71 hospitals in Zhejiang province from June 2017 to September 2018 were analyzed. Differences of time delay including door to imaging time (DIT), imaging to needle time (INT) and door to needle time (DNT) between in-hospital stroke (=101) and out-of-hospital stroke (=2949) were observed.

[Association of atrial fibrillation with hemorrhagic transformation after intravenous thrombolysis in patients with ischemic stroke].

Objective: To investigate the association of atrial fibrillation (AF) with hemorrhagic transformation (HT) in patients with ischemic stroke treated by intravenous thrombolysis.

Methods: Clinical data of 3272 patients treated by intravenous thrombolysis from 71 hospitals in Zhejiang Province during June 2017 and December 2018 were retrospectively reviewed. Intracranial HT was defined as intracranial hemorrhage suggested by imaging examination 24 hours after intravenous thrombolysis.

[Advanced treatment time improves outcomes of patients with ischemic stroke undergoing reperfusion therapy].

Objective: To investigate the effect of treatment time on the outcome of patients with ischemic stroke undergoing reperfusion therapy.

Methods: The clinical data of 3229 ischemic stroke patients who received intravenous thrombolysis with or without arterial thrombolysis from 71 hospitals in Zhejiang province from June 2017 to September 2018 were retrospectively reviewed. The good outcome was defined as modified Rankin Scale (mRS) ≤ 2.

[Effects of emergency medical service on prognosis of ischemic stroke patients treated with intravenous thrombolysis].

Objective: To investigate the effect of emergency medical service (EMS) on the prognosis of ischemic stroke patients treated with intravenous thrombolysis.

Methods: Clinical data of 2123 ischemic stroke patients treated with intravenous thrombolysis in 70 hospitals in Zhejiang province were retrospectively analyzed. There were 808 patients sent to the hospital by ambulance (EMS group) and 1315 patients by other transportations (non-EMS group).

Background: Chemotherapy resistance reduces the effectiveness of chemotherapeutic drugs greatly, resulting in treatment failure. Therefore, exploring chemoresistance-related genes and the corresponding mechanism is extremely important. The central role of CD44v6 in colorectal cancer has been previously reported.

Efficacy of continuous intravenous pumping of insulin for patients with diabetes complicated with perianal abscess and the effect on inflammatory cytokines.

Efficacy of insulin with different administrations for patients with diabetes complicated with perianal abscess and the effect on serum inflammatory cytokines were investigated. One hundred and sixty-seven patients with type 2 diabetes who underwent radical operation of perianal abscess in Jinhua Hospital of Zhejiang University from January 2014 to December 2016 were analyzed. Before and after the operation, 89 patients who received continuous intravenous pumping of insulin for blood glucose control were set as an observation group, and 78 patients who received intermittent subcutaneous injection of insulin as a control group.

Exosome-encapsulated microRNAs as promising biomarkers for Alzheimer's disease.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a chronic neurodegenerative disease that locks into long clinical latency and low curative ratio. Therefore, early diagnosis before the clinical phase is quite essential and may be effective for therapeutic prevention. Peripheral blood or cerebrospinal fluid biomarkers symbolizing functional neuronal impairment are gradually applied to diagnose AD in research studies.

The Effect of BML-111 in Preeclampsia Rat Model Induced by the Low Dose of Cadmium Chloride.

 This article determines the optimal time and dose of cadmium chloride (CdCl ) injected to pregnant rat to establish experimental preeclampsia (PE) model. In addition, the therapeutic potential of BML-111, a lipoxin A4 analogue, in the CdCl -induced PE model was also evaluated.  Peritoneal injection of two dose of CdCl for successive 6 days was tested in the pregnant rats starting from various gestational days (GDs).

Patients with large vessel occlusion stroke (LVOS) need to be rapidly identified and transferred to comprehensive stroke centers (CSC). However, previous pre-hospital strategy remains challenging. We aimed to develop a modified scale to better predict LVOS.

Lower Posttraumatic α-Synuclein Level Associated With Altered Default Mode Network Connectivity Following Acute Mild Traumatic Brain Injury.

This study aimed to investigate the changes of α-synuclein in serum and its relationship with default mode network (DMN) connectivity after acute mild traumatic brain injury (mild TBI). Fifty-two patients with mild TBI at the acute phase and 47 matched healthy controls were enrolled in the study. All participants received resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and neuropsychological assessments.

Background: Keto-analogues administration plays an important role in clinical chronic kidney disease (CKD) adjunctive therapy, however previous studies on their reno-protective effect mainly focused on kidney pathological changes induced by nephrectomy. This study was designed to explore the currently understudied alternative mechanisms by which compound α-ketoacid tablets (KA) influenced ischemia-reperfusion (IR) induced murine renal injury, and to probe the current status of KA administration on staving CKD progression in Chinese CKD patients at different stages.

Methods: In animal experiment, IR surgery was performed to mimic progressive chronic kidney injury, while KA was administrated orally.

Comparison of Clinical Efficacy and Complications Between Laparoscopic Versus Open Surgery for Low Rectal Cancer.

Laparoscopic Myomectomy with Temporary Bilateral Uterine Artery and Utero-Ovarian Vessels Occlusion Compared with Traditional Surgery for Uterine Fibroids: Blood Loss and Recurrence.

Aim: To determine the optimal hemostatic technique for laparoscopic myomectomy (LM) by comparing temporary uterine artery blockage alone or combined with blockage of the utero-ovarian vessels.

Patients: Women with symptomatic uterine myoma attending the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Jinhua Municipal Central Hospital.

Method: A total of 200 patients with symptomatic uterine fibroids were randomly divided into Group A (n = 65), Group B (n = 67) and Group C (n = 68).

A systematic review and a dose-response meta-analysis of coffee dose and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.

Objective: Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is the most predominant chronic liver disease worldwide. Effect of coffee on NAFLD risk and its potential dose-response patterns were explored in the study.

Design: PubMed, Web of Science, MEDLINE, Cochrane and Embase were searched up to 10 April 2018.

Activating metabotropic glutamate receptor‑7 attenuates visceral hypersensitivity in neonatal maternally separated rats.

Increasing evidence has indicated that metabotropic glutamate receptor‑7 (mGluR7) is an important target for reducing anxiety and stress‑associated behaviours. Notably, mood disorders exhibit high levels of comorbidity with gastrointestinal dysfunction; however, the role of mGluR7 outside of the central nervous system is currently unknown. Activating mGluR7 likely increases colonic secretory function.

Sestrin 2 Attenuates Rat Hepatic Stellate Cell (HSC) Activation and Liver Fibrosis via an mTOR/AMPK-Dependent Mechanism.

Background/aims: Sestrin 2 is associated with the pathophysiology of several diseases. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects and potential mechanisms of Sestrin 2 in rat hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) during liver fibrogenesis.

Methods: In this study, Sestrin 2 protein expression was detected in rat HSC-T6 cells challenged with transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β) and in mice treated with carbon tetrachloride (CCl4), a well-known model of hepatic fibrosis.

[Establishment of a prognostic model for preterm delivery in women after cervical conization].

Objective: To establish a prognostic model for preterm birth in women after cervical conization, and to evaluate its effectiveness.

Methods: Seventy three women after cervical conization in Women's Hospital of Zhejiang University were included for this retrospective study. The influencing factors of preterm delivery were analyzed by Logistic regression analysis and a prognostic model was created.

Laparoscopic pancreatic duct incision and stone removal and T-type tube drainage for pancreatic duct stone: A case report and review of literature.

To study a more micro-invasive procedure for patients having pancreatic duct stones (PDS). Till now, there has been no report of laparoscopic pancreatic duct incision and stone removal and T-type tube drainage for PDS in the English literature. An 82-year-old man suffered from subxiphoid pain associated with a dilated pancreatic duct (7 mm) containing one stone, but without a mass in the head of the pancreas.

Impact of polymorphisms in DNA repair genes XPD, hOGG1 and XRCC4 on colorectal cancer risk in a Chinese Han Population.

Background: This research aimed to study the associations between XPD (G751A, rs13181), hOGG1 (C326G, rs1052133) and XRCC4 (G1394T, rs6869366) gene polymorphisms and the risk of colorectal cancer (CRC) in a Chinese Han population.

Method: A total of 225 Chinese Han patients with CRC were selected as the study group, and 200 healthy subjects were recruited as the control group. The polymorphisms of XPD G751A, hOGG1 C326G and XRCC4 G1394T loci were detected by the RFLP-PCR technique in the peripheral blood of all subjects.
