Objective: To explore the potential value of gadolinium-ethoxybenzyl-diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid (Gd-EOB-DTPA) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in LR-3/4 lesions by adding computed tomography (CT) delayed images based on the Liver Imaging Reporting And Data System (LI-RADS).

Methods: The differences in clinical and imaging characteristics between hepatocellular carcinoma and non-HCC were compared, and logistic regression was used to analyze the imaging risk factors for the diagnosis of HCC. Based on the main and HCC-specific auxiliary features of Gd-EOB-DTPA MRI, the HCC diagnostic model 1 was established, and the diagnostic efficacy was analyzed.

Study Design: Retrospective cohort study.

Methods: Patients with PTC who underwent total thyroidectomy by either the conventional technique (group 1, January 2019 to January 2020) or PGVPIST (group 2, January 2020 to January 2021) were compared.

Apelin/APJ signaling activates autophagy to promote human lung adenocarcinoma cell migration.

Life Sci

September 2021

Institute of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, College of Basic Medical Science, Hengyang Medical College, University of South China, Hengyang, China. Electronic address:

Aims: Beclin1(BECN1) is known as an autophagy-related protein and the expression is promoted by apelin in lung adenocarcinoma cells, suggesting that apelin activates autophagy in lung adenocarcinoma. However, the functions of apelin-induced autophagy in lung adenocarcinoma tumorigenesis and deterioration are still unknown. Thus, this study aims to investigate the effects of apelin-induced autophagy on lung adenocarcinoma tumorigenesis and deterioration.

Objective: To study terminal bifurcation of recurrent laryngeal nerves (RLNs) with original direction to larynx entry and to decrease the risk of vocal cord paralysis in thyroid patients.

Methods: The RLNs of 294 patients (482 sides) were dissected according to the branches into the larynx, and the original direction of each RLN trunk in thyroid surgery was recorded.

Results: (1) About 30.

: Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) seeded on biocompatible scaffolds have therapeutic potential for bone defect repair. However, MSCs can be affected by hypoxia and nutritional deficiency due to a lack of blood vessels in the scaffolds. Here, we explored the effects of hypoxia on MSC differentiation to clarify these mechanisms.
