BACKGROUND The development of artificial dermis provides a new therapeutic method for full-thickness skin defects. However, the slow regeneration of blood vessels in the wound site still cannot be solved perfectly. In our study, we combined platelet-rich plasma (PRP) with Lando® artificial dermal scaffold to promote vascular regeneration and wound healing in pigs.

Electronic address:

Haploidentical stem cell transplantation (HSCT) has become an alternative treatment option for patients with aplastic anemia (AA) without matched sibling donors or matched unrelated donors. Recently, post-transplantation cyclophosphamide (PTCy) and granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF)/antithymocyte globulin (ATG) regimens have become the most common protocols used worldwide. In this retrospective study, we retrospectively reviewed and analyzed the clinical data of 130 AA patients who underwent haploidentical HSCT and received the modified PTCy (mPTCy) regimen (n = 55) or G-CSF/ATG regimen (n = 75) between January 2013 and June 2021 across 7 transplantation centers.

Electronic address:

The incidence of atrial fibrillation (AF) increases after surgery and is associated with the activation of NLRP3-inflammation. Our previous studies have found that transient receptor potential vanilloid 4 (TRPV4) blockade reduces the susceptibility to AF, but its molecular mechanisms remains unclear. Therefore, we hypothesized that blockage of TRPV4 reduces the incidence of AF by inhibiting NLRP3-inflammasome in sterile pericarditis (SP) mice.

Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to assess how serum levels of TGF-β1 and EGFR affect the success of high-dose cytarabine (HD-AraC) treatment in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients.
  • A total of 98 AML patients were treated with HD-AraC, and their responses were classified into effective and ineffective groups, allowing researchers to analyze the relationship between serum levels of TGF-β1, EGFR, and treatment outcomes.
  • Results indicated that high serum EGFR levels could predict ineffective treatment, while high TGF-β1 levels may offer some protective benefit, with predictive values shown through ROC curve analysis.

Ther Hypothermia Temp Manag

June 2022

Department of Neonatology, Jingzhou Central Hospital, The Second Hospital of Yangtze University, Jingzhou, China.

Neonates are vulnerable to hypothermia in the early postnatal period due to a low temperature environment, physiological function, and many other factors. In this article, the definition, occurrence status, related factors, hazards, and prevention strategies of neonatal hypothermia are reviewed. The interventions for hypothermia are mainly achieved through three processes, that is, intervention in the delivery room before and after birth, intervention on the way from the delivery room to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and intervention after arrival at the NICU.

Triple branched RGD modification on liposomes: A prospective strategy to enhance the glioma targeting efficiency.

Bioorg Med Chem

April 2022

Key Laboratory of Drug-Targeting and Drug Delivery System of the Education Ministry and Sichuan Province, Sichuan Engineering Laboratory for Plant-Sourced Drug and Sichuan Research Center for Drug Precision Industrial Technology, West China School of Pharmacy, Sichuan University, Chengdu 610041, China. Electronic address:

Glioma, as one of the most common primary intracranial tumors, is in an urgent need for specific targeting agents. Multi-branched RGD ligand is a promising alternative for liposome functionalization which combines the benefits of high affinity with αβ receptors and proper branching structure in response to the receptor clustering. Herein, we designed and synthesized single branched, double branched and triple branched RGD ligand (1RGD-Chol, 2RGD-Chol and 3RGD-Chol) respectively, which were then modified on the liposomes to prepare six different kinds of liposomes (including 1RGD-Lip, 2RGD-Lip, 3RGD-Lip, 2 × 1RGD-Lip, 3 × 1RGD-Lip and unmodified Lip).

Sepsis is mainly caused by infection, and inflammation plays a vital role in the progression of sepsis. Increasing evidence shows the regulatory mechanism of long non-coding RNA growth arrest-specific 5 (GAS5) in inflammatory response. However, the potential role of GAS5 in sepsis was not really clear.
