Background: Pulmonary embolism (PE) is a severe and acute cardiovascular syndrome with high mortality among patients with autoimmune inflammatory rheumatic diseases (AIIRDs). Accurate prediction and timely intervention play a pivotal role in enhancing survival rates. However, there is a notable scarcity of practical early prediction and risk assessment systems of PE in patients with AIIRD.

Peroxiredoxins (Prxs) are a ubiquitously expressed family of antioxidant enzymes that either facilitate or inhibit tumorigenesis, depending on the cancer type and Prx isoform. Prx2 is a typical Prx that has a dual role in tumorigenesis and tumor progression. However, the expression of Prx2 and its precise role in cervical cancer remains to be elucidated.

The suppressor of cytokine signaling 2 (SOCS2) has been identified to act as a tumor suppressor in breast cancer (BC) progression. However, the action of SOCS2 in macrophage polarization in BC cells has not been reported yet. The qRT-PCR and western blotting were adopted for detecting the levels of mRNAs and proteins.

Introduction: Although heart failure (HF) has been linked to bisphenol A (BPA), few studies have investigated the cut-off values for the effects of urinary BPA levels on heart failure risk. The association between urinary BPA levels and HF prognosis has not been investigated.
Methods: This study included 11,849 adults over 20 years old using information from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), which was conducted from 2003 to 2016.

This study investigated the significance of HECT domain and ankyrin repeat containing E3 ubiquitin protein ligase 1 (HACE1) in esophageal cancer (ESCA) and its underlying mechanism in ESCA regulation through the induction of RAC1 ubiquitination and degradation. Characterization studies of HACE1 in ESCA clinical tissues and cell lines were performed. Next, the effects of HACE1 on the biological behavior of ESCA cells were examined by silencing and overexpressing HACE1.

Treatment of colon cancer is very crucial for a patient's survival. In this study, we assessed the reliability, efficacy, and safety of raltitrexed in intraoperative intraperitoneal chemotherapy for colon cancer.

Sociodemographic indicators, food habits, and genetic predispositions all add to the load. Despite advances in systemic treatments, peritoneal metastasis remains a concern, with intraperitoneal chemotherapy (IPC) emerging as a promising treatment option.

Chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and immunotherapy represent key tumour treatment strategies. Notably, immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), particularly anti-programmed cell death 1 (PD1) and anti-programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1), have shown clinical efficacy in clinical tumour immunotherapy. However, the limited effectiveness of ICIs is evident due to many cancers exhibiting poor responses to this treatment.

N6-methyladenosine (m A) modification has been reported to have roles in modulating the development of diabetic cataract (DC). Methyltransferase-like 3 (METTL3) is a critical m A methyltransferase involving in m A modification activation. Here, we aimed to explore the action and mechanism of METTL3-mediated maturation of miR-4654 in DC progression.

Complex wound repair due to tumor recurrence and infection following tumor resection presents significant clinical challenges. In this study, a bifunctional nanocomposite immune hydrogel dressing, SerMA-LJC, is developed to address the issues associated with repairing infected damaged tissues and preventing tumor recurrence. Specifically, the immune dressing is composed of methacrylic anhydride-modified sericin (SerMA) and self-assembled nanoparticles (LJC) containing lonidamine (Lon), JQ1, and chlorine e6 (Ce6).

Primary dysmenorrhea is a common gynecological disease with typical clinical symptoms and diverse treatment methods. Acupoint patch therapy is one of the traditional external treatments of traditional Chinese medicine, with a long history, and has been widely used in the treatment of many diseases in China. Graphene nuangong acupoint plaster (GNGAP) developed based on traditional acupoints and new materials have been used in the clinical treatment of primary dysmenorrhea, and satisfactory therapeutic effects have been achieved.

Background: The tumor burden before chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR-T) cell therapy was one of the critical factors affecting the prognosis of lymphoma. It was a challenge to effectively reduce the tumor burden of relapsed/refractory large B-cell lymphoma with p53 mutation.
Objective: Here, we have presented a case of relapsed/refractory large B-cell lymphoma with p53 mutation being controlled by the treatment with daratumumab and venetoclax, followed by CAR-T cell therapy.

Background: The involvement of centromere protein M (CENPM) in various types of cancer has been established, however, its impact on breast cancer and immune infiltration remains unknown.
Methods: We examined the expression of CENPM in different cancer types by utilizing the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Genotype Tissue Expression Pan-Cancer (GEO) databases. Using data from the TCGA, we examined the correlation between the expression of CENPM, the prognosis, and the clinicopathological features of individuals diagnosed with breast cancer.

Purpose: To evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of single and multiple fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) tests for upper urinary tract cancer (UTUC), we analyzed the diagnostic efficacy of FISH in patients with UTUC and the difference between it and the Tumor Node Metastasis (TNM) stage and grade of the tumor.
Materials And Methods: Patients treated for UTUC at our institution between 2011 and 2021 who had not been previously diagnosed with UTUC were included. Patients were divided into single, two, and multiple (three times or four times) FISH groups based on the number of FISH tests performed on different samples from the same patient, and the diagnostic efficiency of single, two, and multiple FISH tests for muscle-invasive tumors and highgrade tumors were assessed.

Background: Solitary fibrous tumors (SFTs) manifest in various anatomical locations but are seldom encountered in the prostate. Despite their rare occurrence in this region, SFTs demonstrate a marked propensity for recurrence. This study elucidates a case of recurrent prostate SFT, previously misdiagnosed, and delineates the salient features and diagnostic criteria pertaining for SFTs.

Protein L-isoaspartate (D-aspartate) O-methyltransferase (PCMT1) is a repair enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of isomerized aspartic acid (iso-Asp) residues into their normal structure, thereby restoring the configuration and function of proteins. Studies have shown that PCMT1 is overexpressed in several tumors and affects patients' prognosis. However, there are few reports on the role of PCMT1 in prostate cancer (PCa).

Background: Osteosarcoma (OS) is a common primary malignant bone tumor that mainly occurs in children and adolescents. The use of IL-8 inhibitor compounds has been reported in patents, which can be used to treat and/or prevent osteosarcoma, but the pathogenesis of osteosarcoma remains to be investigated. At present, osteoblasts and osteoclasts play an important role in the occurrence and development of OS.
