Noninvasive identification of proliferative hepatocellular carcinoma on multiphase dynamic CT: quantitative and LI-RADS lexicon-based evaluation.

Objective: To identify proliferative hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) preoperatively using quantitative measurements combined with the updated standard 2021 LI-RADS universal lexicon-based qualitative features on multiphase dynamic CT (MDCT).

Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 273 patients (102 proliferative HCCs) who underwent preoperative MDCT with surgically confirmed HCC in two medical centers. Imaging features were evaluated according to the updated 2021 LI-RADS universal lexicon, and quantitative measurements were analyzed.

Safety and efficacy of intralesional rituximab injection versus involved site radiation therapy in primary ocular adnexal MALT lymphoma: study protocol for a multicentre randomised controlled trial.

Introduction: Involved site radiation therapy (ISRT) is a widely used treatment for primary ocular adnexal mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma with control rates over 85%; however, its complications could reach 30%-50%. Intralesional rituximab injection has shown promising results with remission rates between 65% and 100% and minimal complications. This study aimed to conduct a multicentre randomised controlled clinical trial to compare the safety and efficacy of intralesional rituximab injection versus ISRT on primary ocular adnexal MALT lymphoma.

Drynariae Rhizoma (DR) has been commonly used as a preventive and therapeutic agent for bone diseases. However, its pharmacological mechanisms have not been fully elucidated. Here, we aimed to investigate the effects of DR in a bilateral ovariectomized (OVX) rat model and explore the correlation with the gut microbiome.

Association between probable sarcopenia and dementia risk: a prospective cohort study with mediation analysis.

The role of alcohol consumption as a mediator in the risk between sarcopenia and dementia remains inadequately studied. There is currently limited research on whether the association between sarcopenia and the risk of Alzheimer's disease (AD) is influenced by genetic susceptibility. Our study incorporated a total of 483,637 baseline non-dementia participants, who were classified into groups of individuals with no sarcopenia and those with probable sarcopenia based on the definition.

Purpose: To develop a CT radiomics model to predict pathological complete response (pCR) of advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) toneoadjuvant chemotherapy using paclitaxel and cisplatin.

Materials And Methods: 326 consecutive patients with advanced ESCC from two hospitals undergoing baseline contrast-enhanced CT followed by neoadjuvant chemotherapy using paclitaxel and cisplatin were enrolled, including 115 patients achieving pCR and 211 patients without pCR. Of the 271 cases from 1st hospital, 188 and 83 cases were randomly allocated to the training and test cohorts, respectively.

Construction of a pathway-level model for preeclampsia based on gene expression data.

Preeclampsia (PE) is a heterogeneous disease that seriously affects the health of mothers and fetuses. Lack of detection assays, its diagnosis and intervention are often delayed when the clinical symptoms are atypical. Using personalized pathway-based analysis and machine learning algorithms, we built a PE diagnosis model consisting of nine core pathways using multiple cohorts from the Gene Expression Omnibus database.

Pediatric diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma radiotherapy response prediction: MRI morphology and T2 intensity-based quantitative analyses.

Objectives: An easy-to-implement MRI model for predicting partial response (PR) postradiotherapy for diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG) is lacking. Exaggerated placental site in a cesarean scar: Misdiagnosed as gestational trophoblastic neoplasia: A case report.

The present study reports a rare case of an exaggerated placental site (EPS) in a caesarean scar that was misdiagnosed as gestational trophoblastic neoplasia (GTN) by imaging, resulting in unnecessary surgical treatment. A 38-year-old woman underwent hysteroscopic resection of a cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP). The patient's serum β-human chorionic gonadotropin (β-hCG) level was elevated (76,196 mIU/ml) at the 24-day postoperative follow-up visit.

[A multicenter study of neonatal stroke in Shenzhen, China].

Methods: Led by Shenzhen Children's Hospital, the Shenzhen Neonatal Data Collaboration Network organized 21 institutions to collect 36 cases of neonatal stroke from January 2020 to December 2022. The incidence, clinical characteristics, treatment, and prognosis of neonatal stroke in Shenzhen were analyzed.

Objective: Fear of cancer recurrence is one of the psychological distresses for patients with cancer and cancer survivors, which poses a physical and psychological threat. There is scant evidence on the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioural therapy in reducing fear of cancer recurrence. Therefore, we conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to assess the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioural therapy for fear of cancer recurrence.

The research subjects for this study were HIV-1-infected patients who did not receive any antiretroviral therapy (ART) in the Liangshan District between January 2022 and July 2023. Peripheral venous whole-blood samples were collected from the research subjects.

We aimed to evaluate the relationship between imaging features, therapeutic responses (comparative cross-product and volumetric measurements), and overall survival (OS) in pediatric diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG). A total of 134 patients (≤ 18 years) diagnosed with DIPG were included. Univariate and multivariate analyses were performed to evaluate correlations of clinical and imaging features and therapeutic responses with OS.

Sonographic Findings of Vascular Signals for Retained Products of Conception in Women Following First-Trimester Termination of Pregnancy.

Objectives: To evaluate the occurrence of retained products of conception (RPOC) after termination of pregnancy in the first trimester and to assess the vascular signals with transvaginal ultrasonography (TVUS) examination in the detection of retained products.

Methods: A retrospective cohort study was performed using TVUS examination in patients following termination of pregnancy. In cases of RPOC, 3 scales of vascular signal were identified: type 1, no or small amount, spot flow signals; type 2, medium amount, strip-like flow signals; type 3, rich amount, circumferential-like flow signals.
