Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is characterized by uncontrolled, chronic relapsing inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract and has become a global healthcare problem. Here, we aimed to illustrate the anti-inflammatory activity and the underlying mechanism of methyl 3-bromo-4,5-dihydroxybenzoate (MBD), a compound derived from marine organisms, especially in IBD, using a zebrafish model. The results indicated that MBD could inhibit the inflammatory responses induced by CuSO, tail amputation and LPS in zebrafish.

This study estimates regional economic resilience in China from 2000 to 2022, focusing on economic resistance resilience, recovery resilience, and reorientation resilience. The entropy method, kernel density estimation, and spatial Durbin model are applied to examine the spatiotemporal evolution and influencing factors. The quantum anomalous Hall effect (QAHE) with a high Chern number hosts multiple dissipationless chiral edge channels, which is of fundamental interest and promising for applications in spintronics. However, QAHE is currently limited in two-dimensional (2D) ferromagnets with Chern number . Using a tight-binding model, we put forward that Floquet engineering offers a strategy to achieve QAHE in 2D nonmagnets, and, in contrast to generally reported QAHE in 2D ferromagnets, a high-Chern-number is obtained accompanied by the emergence of two chiral edge states.
