Clinical, myopathological, and genetic features of two Chinese families with Andersen-Tawil syndrome.

Purpose: To explore the clinical, muscle pathological, and pathogenic gene mutation characteristics of Andersen-Tawil Syndrome (ATS) and enhance the understanding of ATS among clinical practitioners.

Methods: Retrospective analysis of clinical data and muscle pathology of two ATS families, along with genetic testing for probands and some family members.

Results: In Family 1, spanning four generations, four individuals were affected, while Family 2 had two affected individuals across four generations.

Pathologic Status of Tissue Around the Malleus Handle Tip in Endoscopic Tympanoplasty: Potential Impact on Surgical Decisions.

To avoid postoperatively acquired cholesteatoma, whether there was any squamous epithelial tissues residue around the tip of the malleus handle, and the need to remove these tissues were explored. This prospective study enrolled 197 patients who underwent endoscopic tympanoplasty. A postoperative pathological evaluation of the tissue around the tip of the malleus handle was performed to determine the presence of squamous epithelium.

Next, basic information on the cases, data on pDOC disease assessment, CRT methods, and efficacy evaluation were collected.

Nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain 1 (NOD1) can direct the release of inflammatory factors and influence autophagy and apoptosis in hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) in mice. As pyroptosis is involved in a number of inflammatory reactions, in this report, we investigated the potential for NOD1 to affect pyroptosis. Background: This prospective, multi-center, intensive monitoring study aimed to systematically assess the occurrence of adverse events (AEs) and adverse drug reactions (ADRs), especially thrombocytopenia and bleeding, as well as their risk factors in Chinese ST-segment elevation myocardial infraction (STEMI) patients receiving bivalirudin as anticoagulant for percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
