Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is characterized by high postoperative recurrence rates, and predicting early recurrence is crucial for improving clinical outcomes, yet remains challenging. Both preoperative computed tomography (CT) imaging radiomic features and serum biomarkers related to microvascular infiltration are important indicators of HCC prognosis. This study aimed to develop a nomogram model incorporating both preoperative CT radiomic features and serum biomarkers associated with microvascular infiltration to predict early postoperative recurrence in HCC patients.

November 2024

Department of Oncology, Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital, Affiliated Hospital of Medical School, Nanjing University, Nanjing210008, China.

To observe and evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of albumin-bound paclitaxel as first-line treatment for patients with advanced pancreatic cancer in China, and to explore the prognosis-related molecules in pancreatic cancer based on next-generation sequencing (NGS) of tumor tissues. From December 2018 to December 2020, patients with locally advanced or metastatic pancreatic cancer were recruited to accept albumin-bound paclitaxel as first-line treatment in the oncology departments of 24 hospitals in East China. The primary endpoints were overall survival (OS) and treatment related adverse events, and the secondary endpoint was progression-free survival (PFS).

Study on the Role of EPHB6 in Inhibiting the Malignant Progression of Cervical Cancer C33A Cells by Binding to CBX7.

Cell Biochem Biophys

December 2024

Chongqing Key Laboratory of Translational Research for Cancer Metastasis and Individualized Treatment, Chongqing University Cancer Hospital & Chongqing Cancer Institute & Chongqing Cancer Hospital, Chongqing, 400030, China.

Cervical cancer stands as the most frequently diagnosed malignancy affecting the female reproductive. The erythropoietin-producing hepatocyte (Eph) family tyrosine kinases play important roles in tumorigenesis and cancer aggression. However, the exact role of EPHB6 in cervical cancer remains unknown.

Background: Transperineal prostate biopsy is gradually becoming the standard methodology for diagnosing prostate cancer because of its high accuracy and low risk of infection, but careful preparation is not always highlighted before a transperineal biopsy. we reported two cases of hair embedding during transurethral resection of the prostate following transperineal puncture biopsy with a Bard MC1820 disposable biopsy needle. Histological examination did not find the hair follicle structure required for hair growth.

Upregulation of SIRT1 by Evodiamine activates PI3K/AKT pathway and blocks intervertebral disc degeneration.

Mol Med Rep

August 2022

Department of Orthopedics, Fengfeng General Hospital, North China Medical Health Group, Handan, Hebei 056200, P.R. China.

Intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD) is a major cause of a number of spinal diseases, resulting in serious public health problems. Evodiamine (Evo) is an indole quinazoline alkaloid extracted from , which has antioxidant, anti‑apoptosis and anti‑inflammatory effects. The purpose of the present study was to investigate lipopolysaccharide (LPS)‑induced IDD progression in human nucleus pulposus cells (NPCs) and its potential mechanism.

Chemoresistance has become a primary hurdle in the therapeutic outcome of hepatocellular carcinoma. Substantial evidences have demonstrated that microRNAs (miRNAs) are closely associated with the chemoresistance of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Our investigation is aimed at testifying the influence of microRNA-15a-5p (miR-15a-5p)/eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E (eIF4E) on hepatocellular carcinoma resistance to pirarubicin (THP).

Objective: To explore the feasibility of CT and MRI in differentiating mucinous tubular and spindle cell carcinoma (MTSCC) and papillary renal cell carcinoma (PRCC).

Methods: 23 patients with MTSCC and 38 patients with PRCC were studied retrospectively. CT and MRI were undertaken to investigate differences in tumour characteristics.

In this study, network pharmacology technology was combined with molecular docking technology and experimental verification to clarify the active ingredients, potential targets and mechanism of Alisma orientale for nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD), providing a basis for its clinical application. The active ingredients of A. orientale were screened through traditional Chinese medicine systems pharmacology database(TCMSP), and the potential targets related to both active ingredients and NAFLD were predicted through protein databases by considering the oral bioavailability(OB) and drug-likeness(DL).

Purpose: To compare and explore the efficacy and safety of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) in combination with radiofrequency ablation (RFA) and microwave ablation (MWA) in the treatment of middle and large primary hepatic carcinoma.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was made on 75 patients with middle and large hepatic carcinoma (tumor diameter ≥3 cm) receiving TACE in combination with thermal ablation therapy in our hospital from January 2012 to January 2015, with hepatic function Child-Pugh class A and B. Forty-one cases received TACE+RFA, while 34 cases received TACE+MWA.

This study was aimed to investigate the clinical efficacy of idarubicin combined with methotrexate for treatment of patients with central nervous system diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. A total of 88 patients with central nervous system diffuse large B-cell lymphoma was selected, out of them 54 patients received idarubicin combined with methotrexate and were selected as A group, other 34 patients received only methotrexate and were selected as B group (control group). Clinical efficacy and safety were compared after treatment.
