The default-interventionist model of dual-process theories proposes that stereotype descriptions in base-rate problems are processed using Type 1 processing, while the evaluation of base rates depends on Type 2 processing. The logical intuition view posits that people can process base-rate information using Type 1 processing. This study examined the logical intuition view using the instructional manipulation paradigm.

Investigations on the EPR g factors and local structures for the orthorhombic and tetragonal Cu centers in Pb[ZrTi]O.

Magn Reson Chem

October 2024

Jiangxi Province Key Laboratory of Optoelectronic Information Science and Technology, Nanchang Hangkong University, Nanchang, Jiangxi, China.

The defect models of the orthorhombical and tetragonal Cu centers in Pb[ZrTi]O are attributed to Cu ions occupying the sixfold coordinated octahedral Ti site with and without charge compensation, respectively. The electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) g factors g (i = x, y, z) of the Cu centers in Pb[ZrTi]O are theoretically studied by using the perturbation formulas of a 3d ion under orthorhombically and tetragonally elongated octahedra. Based on the calculation, the impurity off-center displacements are about 0.

This article utilizes survey data from the China Family Panel Studies (CFPS) to examine whether grandparents' health disadvantage have both direct and indirect effects on the health disadvantage of their grandchildren, and whether the completion of compulsory education by parents disrupts these intergenerational transmissions in China. The findings suggest that grandparents' health disadvantage significantly increases the probability of grandchildren's health disadvantage with and without controlling parental health disadvantage and other characteristics. Moreover, the study identifies a disruptive influence of parental education on this transmission process.

Comput Methods Biomech Biomed Engin

July 2024

Center of Collaboration and Innovation, Jiangxi University of Technology, Nanchang, China.

In order to reduce the amount of EEG collected by the fatigue driving monitoring system, this paper proposes a new EEG monitoring method based on compressed sensing. According to the driver's driving duration, the new proposed method adopts different sampling rate to compressive sample the EEG of the driver in different driving stages, and then realizes the accurate reconstruction of the compressed EEG data in the computer of vehicle. The experiment verifies effectiveness of the proposed method by collecting EEG signals from multiple subjects during simulated driving.

  • Ni-rich layered oxides are promising cathodes for Li-ion batteries due to their high energy density, but they suffer from capacity degradation and structural changes over time.
  • The study used first-principle calculations to examine how magnesium (Mg) doping affects the formation energy and electronic structures of LiNiO cathodes, revealing that while the geometric structure remains largely unchanged, the electronic structure experiences significant changes.
  • The findings provide insights into the microscopic effects of Mg doping in LiNiO, aiding in the design of safer, higher energy density cathodes for future applications.

Theoretical studies on the local structure and spin Hamiltonian parameters for Cu ions in LiTaO crystal.

Magn Reson Chem

January 2024

Jiangxi Province Key Laboratory of Optoelectronic Information Science and Technology, Nanchang Hangkong University, Nanchang, Jiangxi, China.

The local structure and spin Hamiltonian parameters (SHPs) g factors (g , g , g ) and the hyperfine structure constants (A , A , A ) for Cu doped in the LiTaO crystal are theoretically investigated by the perturbation formulas for a 3d ion under rhombically elongated octahedral based on the cluster approach. The impurity Cu was assumed to occupy the host trigonally-distorted octahedral Li site and experience the Jahn-Teller (JT) distortion from the host trigonal octahedral [TaO ] to the impurity rhombically elongated octahedral [CuO ] . Based on the calculations, the impurity-ligand bond lengths parallel and perpendicular to the C -axis are found to be R (≈ 2.

Hydrophobic carbon nanotubes are hardly to disperse in water and prone to agglomerate when poured with Copper Tailing-Based Cementitious Material (CTCM). Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) + Arabic Gum (GA) dispersions were prepared by a novel method of synergistic optimization of concentration, controlling low-frequency ultrasonic time and setting the ambient temperature with non-toxic anionic surfactant GA as surfactant. The results of UV-Vis spectroscopy showed that the high stability MWCNTs + GA dispersion with low aggregation area (< 1.
