China's rapid urbanization and industrialization process has triggered serious air pollution. As a main air pollutant, PM is affected not only by meteorological conditions, but also by land use in urban area. The impacts of urban landscape on PM become more complicated from a three-dimensional (3D) and land function zone point of view.

Since the 1970s, although the Chinese central government has constructed farmland rights confirmation policy to stimulate the vitality of rural land elements, it is rare to discuss the effectiveness of the policy from the perspective of farmers. This paper applies the deep interview and questionnaire to present an analysis framework consisting of "policy implementation-input behavior in agricultural production-farmland transfer" and testifies the framework with the mediation model. The findings show that, in general, the farmland rights confirmation policy (FRCP) has a significant negative impact on leasing out farmland and a significant positive impact on leasing in farmland.

The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between different physical fitness indices (PFIs) and psychological symptoms and each dimension (emotional symptoms, behavioral symptoms, social adaptation difficulties) of Chinese children and adolescents. Methods: A total of 7199 children and adolescents aged 13−18 in Jiangxi Province, China, were tested for grip strength, standing long jump, sit-ups, sit and reach, repeated straddling, 50 m run, 20 m shuttle run test (20 m SRT) items. The physical fitness indicators were standardized, converted to Z score and added up to obtain the PFI, and the self-assessment of the psychological section of the multidimensional sub-health questionnaire of adolescents (MSQA) to test the psychological symptoms, using the chi-square test to determine the psychological symptoms of different types of children and adolescents and binary logistic regression analysis to determine the association between psychological symptoms and different PFI grades.

There has been a steady decline in carbon dioxide emissions in the world's 19 most industrialized nations even as GDP has increased. These nations' efforts to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide, therefore, to reduction of CO and development of renewable energy are the objective of this research. With the years 1995-2019 as a point of reference, we have selected gross domestic product, GDP, RE, industrial upgrading, and import and export as our independent variables.

College of Environmental and Resource Sciences, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou 310058, China; Key Laboratory of Environment Remediation and Ecological Health, Ministry of Education, College of Environmental and Resource Sciences, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou 310058, China. Electronic address:

China implemented a stringent Air Clean Plan (ACP) since 2013 to address environmental and health risks caused by ambient fine particulate matter (PM). However, the policy effectiveness of ACP and co-benefits of carbon mitigation measures to environment and health are still largely unknown. Using satellite-based PM products produced in our previous study, concentration-response functions, and the logarithmic mean Divisia index (LMDI) method, we analyzed the spatiotemporal dynamics of premature deaths attributable to PM exposure, and quantitatively estimated the policy benefits of ACP and carbon mitigation measures.

For the purpose of coping with or eliminating the influence of carbon dioxide emissions effectively, it is crucial to apply the green investment models to carry out a qualitative analysis of carbon dioxide emission evolution. The effect of financial risks on the implementation of the carbon dioxide emission limit is essential for the distribution of resources, and it is necessary to summarize the patterns and make innovations in the process of limiting the emissions of carbon dioxide effectively. In the case of fully complying with the principles of low-carbon economic development and related policy protection, the appropriate model for low-carbon economic development is identified.

Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the association of α-linolenic acid (ALA; 18:3 ω-3) dietary intake with very short sleep duration (<5 h) in adults based on the CDC's National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey data.

Methods: Multinomial logistic regression was used to explore the association of ALA intake with very short sleep. To make the estimation more robust, bootstrap methods of 1,000 replications were performed.

This study aims to link two related social psychology concepts, self-awareness and politeness, with human helping behavior and demonstrate it from the perspective of psychological game theory. By establishing a game theory model, and adding politeness and self-awareness as influencing factors, the Bayesian Nash equilibrium clarified people's help-seeking and help-giving behavior. As a result, we explained the relationship between politeness, self-awareness, and the willingness of the help seekers, as well as the helpers, and we can thus understand why some people do not seek help or give help.

Soil organic carbon (SOC) plays an important role in the global carbon cycle and soil fertility supply. Rapid and accurate estimation of SOC content could provide critical information for crop production, soil management and soil carbon pool regulation. Many researchers have confirmed the feasibility and great potential of visible and near-infrared (Vis-NIR) spectroscopy in evaluating SOC content rapidly and accurately.

Autoregressive exogenous, hereafter ARX, models are widely adopted in time series-related domains as they can be regarded as the combination of an autoregressive process and a predictive regression. Within a more complex structure, extant diagnostic checking methods face difficulties in remaining validity in many conditions existing in real applications, such as heteroscedasticity and error correlations exhibited between the ARX model itself and its exogenous processes. For these reasons, we propose a new serial correlation test method based on the profile empirical likelihood.

In this study, the influence of rural labor transfer and its spatial spillover effect on the eco-efficiency of cultivated land use (ECLU) in different regions were investigated using the undesirable super-efficiency epsilon based measure (EBM) and spatial Durbin models and data of 31 Chinese provinces for the period 1990-2018. The results show that: (1) China's rural labor transfer rate increased; (2) in the east region, the ECLU has exceeded the national average level since 2001. In the west and northeast regions, the ECLU was higher, whereas it remained below the national average level in Central China; (3) in the whole country, west, and northeast regions, the effect of rural labor transfer on the ECLU was first negative and then positive, whereas it was insignificant in East and Central China.

Government health expenditure plays an important role in guaranteeing people's livelihood and in improving the quality of human capital, and it also plays an important role in affecting economic development. In order to characterize the specific trend of government health spending affecting economic growth, and analyze the impact difference in different regions, this paper uses a non-parametric additive model to analyze the impact of government health expenditure on economic development and regional development differences based on three aspects: linear, non-linear and comprehensive effects. From the perspective of linear effects, the results show that the proportion of government health expenditure to GDP nationwide and in the western regions has a positive impact on economic development, while the impact in the eastern and central regions is negative.
