This study delves deeply into exploring the artistic value of traditional Chinese painting (TCP) and aims to bridge the gap between its fundamental characteristics and the realm of human emotions. To achieve this, a novel convolutional neural network (CNN)-based classification model for TCP emotions is proposed. By thoroughly analyzing the distinct emotional mapping relationships inherent in TCP, a comprehensive framework is developed.

Cotton fiber fabric with practicability and functionality attracts much attention and plays an important role in many occasions. However, its surface contains many hydroxyl groups to show a hydrophilicity, leading to easy adhesion to stains to limit the application. In this work, polyglycidyl methacrylate (PGMA) was used as an oily and flexible matrix and graphene oxide (GO) particles were used as a filler.

The conversion of solar energy into heat for seawater desalination is emerging as a promising method. However, it requires further research on light absorption, thermal management, and salt deposition to improve water evaporation rates. This study introduces a 3D solar evaporator inspired by jellyfish utilizing honeycomb fabric (HF), which capitalizes on a synergistic effect between the periodically arranged concave unit structure and the Chinese ink and carbon black particles (ink@CB), achieving up to 98% light absorption with ink@CB-HF.

Digital trade, as one of the vanguards of the global technological revolution and industrial transformation, empowers low-carbon economic cooperation on a global scale. This study based on panel data from 2007 to 2021 of 46 countries with varied development levels, constructed a multi-dimensional indicator system from six aspects: trade potential, digital infrastructure, digital innovation, digital skills and security, scale of digital trade, and digital trade environment, aim to measure the development level of digital trade and explore its impact on carbon emissions, followed by a heterogeneity analysis. The research results indicate that there are significant differences in the development levels of digital trade among countries with different economic strengths.

To improve anti-icing traits of outdoor coatings, a synergy between photothermal and hydrophobic anti-icings was utilized to fabricate copolymer/TiCT MXene composite coatings with good transparency and adhesion. MXene contributes to photothermal trait from local surface plasmon resonance effect. Copolymer enables hydrophobicity from perfluoroalkyls-induced low surface energy and high surface roughness.

Flexible solid-state supercapacitors (SCs) with hydrogel as an electrolyte and separator combine the advantages of wearability and energy storage and exhibit a broad application prospect in wearable energy textiles. However, irreversible electrolyte damage and unstable electrode-electrolyte interfaces during mechanical deformations remain bottlenecks in realizing truly wearable applications. Herein, poly(acrylic acid) (PAA)-Fe hydrogels were prepared through a simple thermal polymerization strategy.

Poly (butylene adipate-co-terephthalate)/poly (L-lactic acid) (PBAT/PLLA) is one of the most important biodegradable polymer combinations; however, they are flammable with heavy melt dripping and incompatible. To achieve the objective of flame retardation and compatibility, a hybrid polyurethane (PU) with multiple flame retardation elements is synthesized via a new ring-opening polymerization (ROP) method and integrated into PBAT/PLLA film. The PU not only dissolves in different organic solvents at mild temperature but also improves the compatibility of PBAT/PLLA.

In this study, we investigate the influence of global innovation networks (GINs) on the innovation output of semiconductor firms. Utilizing negative binomial regression and network analysis, we assess how network positions, specifically degree, betweenness, and closeness centrality, affect firms' innovation performance, revealing significant positive impacts. Moreover, our results identify a positive U-shaped relationship between structural holes in GINs and innovation performance, suggesting that while moderate network engagement aids innovation, too much can be detrimental.

Background: 5-Methylcytosine (5mC) plays a very important role in gene stability, transcription, and development. Therefore, accurate identification of the 5mC site is of key importance in genetic and pathological studies. However, traditional experimental methods for identifying 5mC sites are time-consuming and costly, so there is an urgent need to develop computational methods to automatically detect and identify these 5mC sites.

Background: Despite technological, political and economic progress, Pakistan is still a traditionally patriarchal society, and cultural norms curb women's freedom of socialization, which contributes to poor mental health. The digital technology spaces are rampant with male dominance, and offline cultural behaviours are replicated. Therefore, the current research in Pakistan intends to focus solely on women, their social media uses and the consequent impact on their psychological well-being.

The flexible air electrode with high oxygen electrocatalytic performance and outstanding stability under various deformations plays a vital role in high-performance flexible Zn-air batteries (ZABs). Herein, a self-supported Mo, N, and P co-doped carbon cloth (CC) denoted as MoNP@CC with bark-like surface structure is fabricated by a facile two-step approach via a one-pot method and pyrolysis. The surface of the electrode shows a nanoscale "rift valley" and uniformly distributed active sites.

A carbon tax is effective at curbing carbon emissions, but it is met with low public support due to its high personal cost. Investigations have been conducted to reform carbon tax design to ease the burden on individuals by providing economic compensation, but the cost for governments is high. We propose a new cost-efficient solution by introducing people to a pre-existing reward-based climate policy to create a sense of economic compensation.

Polyurethane (PU) and poly(l-lactide) (PLLA) have attracted increasing attention in the development of shape memory polymers (SMPs) due to their good biocompatibility and degradability. Although Pluronic P123 can be used to tune polymeric surface hydrophilicity, its effect on SM performance is a mystery. In this study, a soluble cross-linked PU is synthesized as the switching phase and combined with PLLA and P123 to construct a hydrothermally responsive SM composite.

Smart wearable technology has been more and more widely used in monitoring and prewarning of human health and safety, while flexible yarn-based strain sensors have attracted extensive research interest due to their ability to withstand greater external strain and their significant application potential in real-time monitoring of human motion and health signals. Although several strain sensors based on yarn structures have been reported, it remains challenging to strike a balance between high sensitivity and wide strain ranges. At the same time, visual signal sensing is expected to be used in strain sensors thanks to its intuitiveness.

Achieving rapid hemostasis and highly effective antibacterial holds significant importance in the early-stage treatment of wounds. In this study, a hybrid aerogel patch comprising carbon quantum dots (CQDs) modified 2-dimensional (2D) porphyrinic metal-organic framework (MOF) nanosheets was designed by incorporating gelatin methacrylate (GelMA) and polyacrylamide (PAM) based matrix. On one hand, CQDs were stably doped onto the surface of the 2D MOF nanosheets, thereby enhancing the photodynamic activity through fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) process.

The reduction of agricultural emission plays an important role in realizing the dual-carbon goals. It is thus of great significance to examine the characteristics and drivers of regional agricultural carbon emission. We measured agricultural carbon emission in Jiangxi Province from the perspective of input-output and production processes, and explored the drivers and decoupling dynamics of agricultural carbon emission by using the LMDI decomposition method together with the Tapio decoupling model modified by time-varying parameter C-D production function.

Atmospheric water harvesting is a promising approach for obtaining freshwater resources, but achieving high levels of light absorption, hygroscopic capacity, and desorption efficiency simultaneously remains a challenge. In this study, we developed an innovative atmospheric water harvester that incorporates a poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) hydrogel and a polydopamine/polypyrrole-modified 3D raised-fabric. The interlacing structure and polydopamine/polypyrrole synergistically enhance the harvester's photothermal conversion capability, while the hydrogel-modified raised-fabric with its increased pore structure and high specific surface area ensures effective contact between the internal adsorbent and external moisture, thereby improving moisture capture and storage capacity.
