State Key Laboratory of Marine Environmental Science, College of Ocean and Earth Sciences, Xiamen University, Xiamen, China.

Marine ecosystems contain an immense diversity of phages, many of which infect cyanobacteria (cyanophage) that are largely responsible for primary productivity. To characterize the genetic diversity and biogeographic distribution of the marine T4-like cyanophage community in the northern South China Sea, the T4-like cyanophage portal protein gene () was amplified. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that marine T4-like cyanophages were highly diverse, with operational taxonomic units being affiliated with five defined clades (Clusters I-V).

Chromite ore processing residue (COPR) is a hazardous waste because of leachable chromium, especially Cr(vi). Therefore, ascorbic acid (AA) and blast furnace slag (BFS) have been used to detoxify and solidify COPR. On this basis, environmental stability experiments with high temperature and freeze-thaw cycles were carried out to explore the stability performance of a solidified body with 40% COPR.

In this work, an amine functionalized CoFeO magnetic nanocomposite material CoFeO@SiO-NH was prepared successfully by modifying coated-CoFeO@SiO magnetic nanoparticles with 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) and became an efficient adsorbent for the separation and analysis of trace lead in water. The CoFeO@SiO-NH magnetic nanoparticles were characterized using SEM, TEM, XRD, FTIR, VSM and BET techniques. Then, the adsorption mechanism was preliminarily investigated through ZETA, XPS, and adsorption kinetic experiments.

Jiangsu Key Laboratory of Marine Bioresources and Environment, Co-Innovation Center of Jiangsu Marine Bio-Industry Technology, Jiangsu Ocean University, Lianyungang 222005, China.

The threat of bacterial septicemia caused by infection to aquaculture growth can be prevented through vaccination, but differences among strains may affect the effectiveness of non-conserved subunit vaccines or non-inactivated vaccines, making the identification and development of conserved antigens crucial. In this study, a bioinformatics analysis of 4268 protein sequences encoded by the J-1 strain whole genome was performed based on reverse vaccinology. The specific analysis included signal peptide prediction, transmembrane helical structure prediction, subcellular localization prediction, and antigenicity and adhesion evaluation, as well as interspecific and intraspecific homology comparison, thereby screening the 39 conserved proteins as candidate antigens for vaccine.
