Background: Recent studies have found that S100 serum calcium-binding protein A12 (S100A12) has important significance in the expression of acute infectious diseases, and has high clinical application value in the differential diagnosis, prognosis and other aspects of acute infectious diseases. The accuracy of modified early warning score (MEWS) in evaluating the disease risk level of critically ill patients is comparable to Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation (APACHE II).

Methods: Based on MEWS, 108 adult community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) patients were divided into the low-risk, intermediate-risk, and high-risk groups.

Background And Aims: This study was designed to explore the effects of Yes-associated protein (YAP) knockdown on human osteosarcoma (HOS) cell sensitivity to Pyropheophorbide-α methyl ester-mediated photodynamic therapy (MPPa-PDT), and to assess how YAP silencing in combination with treatment with the ferroptosis inducer Erastin improves HOS cell sensitivity to MPPa-PDT in an effort to better clarify the molecular mechanisms underlying these phenotypes.

In this study, we found that ECM1 was overexpressed in both CRC tissues and cell lines. Upregulation of ECM1 was correlated with tumor size, lymph node status and TNM stage in CRC patients.

Dl-3-n-butylphthalide induced anaphylactic shock: a case report.

Dl-3-n-butylphthalide (DL-NBP) has good neuroprotective function and is safe for use in patients with acute ischaemic stroke. DL-NBP induced anaphylactic shock is rarely reported. Here we describe the case of a 75-year-old woman who received an injection of DL-NBP (25 mg/100 mL intravenously guttae, twice daily) for acute ischaemic stroke.
