Spontaneous retroperitoneal hematoma after COVID-19 infection: A case report.

Rationale: Spontaneous retroperitoneal hematoma (SRH) is a rare but potentially fatal condition, often associated with anticoagulation therapy. With the global prevalence of COVID-19 and the widespread use of anticoagulants in its management, there is an increasing need to recognize rare but serious complications like SRH. This case report aims to emphasize the importance of early recognition and intervention of SRH in patients with COVID-19 undergoing anticoagulation therapy, to improve patient outcomes and reduce mortality.

Efficacy and intrarenal pressure analysis of flexible and navigable suction ureteral access sheaths with flexible ureteroscopy in modified surgical positions for 2-6 cm upper urinary tract stones: a multicenter retrospective study.

This multicenter retrospective study aimed to assess the efficacy, intrarenal pressure (IRP), and complications of retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) using a flexible and navigable suction ureteral access sheaths (FANS-UAS) in the reverse Trendelenburg lithotomy position (RTLP) for treating kidney and upper ureteral stones measuring 2-6 cm. Conducted at six medical centers in Fujian Province from 2022 to 2024, the study included 231 patients with a median stone size of 26 mm. The immediate stone-free rate (ISFR) was 90.

CGG repeat expansion in LOC642361/NUTM2B-AS1 typically presents as oculopharyngodistal myopathy.

CGG repeat expansions in LOC642361/NUTM2B-AS1 have recently been identified as a cause of oculopharyngeal myopathy with leukoencephalopathy. However, since only three patients from a single family were reported, it remains unknown whether their clinicopathological features are typical for CGG repeat expansions in LOC642361/NUTM2B-AS1. Here, using repeat-primed-polymerase chain reaction and long-read sequencing, we identify 12 individuals from 3 unrelated families with CGG repeat expansions in LOC642361/NUTM2B-AS1, typically presenting with oculopharyngodistal myopathy.

Study on the Diagnostic Value of Neuroelectrophysiological Examination in Patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.

Objective: Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease with unknown causes involving upper and lower motor neurons. Our study aimed to explore the diagnostic value of neuroelectrophysiological examination in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

Methods: A total of 64 patients admitted to our hospital from January 2014 to December 2020 were selected as ALS group.

[Pulmonary extranodal natural killer/T-cell lymphoma: clinical analysis of three cases].

To improve the understanding of pulmonary involvement of extranodal natural killer/T-cell lymphoma (ENKTL) by analyzing the clinical manifestations, imaging and pathological features of this disease. Three cases of ENKTL, proven by pathological diagnosis in Fuzhou General Clinical Medical College of Fujian Medical University, were retrospectively analyzed. All of the 3 cases were males, aged 74, 61 and 49 years, respectively.
