In the presented experiment, our aim was to explore the role of miR-543 in OC cell proliferation and invasion. Results of quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) and Western blot revealed that miR-543 have lower expression levels, while Twist homolog 1 (TWIST1) was expressed with higher levels in OC tissues and cells.

A total of 122 patients with ACI or CH admitted to the People's Hospital of Zhangqiu Area from August 2018 to September 2019 were collected. There were 59 ACI patients assigned into a cerebral infarction group (CIG) and further 63 CH patients in a cerebral hemorrhage group (CHG).

In total, 140 patients with radical colorectal cancer under general anesthesia from March 2012 to June 2015 were enrolled in the Guizhou Provincial People's Hospital, including 80 patients in the dexmedetomidine group and 60 patients in the saline group. Surgery conditions were recorded, and the incidence of postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) and cognitive function score (MMSE score) were compared between the two groups.

Lactate: A Novel Signaling Molecule in Synaptic Plasticity and Drug Addiction.

l-Lactate is emerging as a crucial regulatory nexus for energy metabolism in the brain and signaling transduction in synaptic plasticity, memory processes, and drug addiction instead of being merely a waste by-product of anaerobic glycolysis. In this review, the role of lactate in various memory processes, synapse plasticity and drug addiction on the basis of recent studies is summarized and discussed. To this end, three main parts are presented: first, lactate as an energy substrate in energy metabolism of the brain is described; second, lactate as a novel signaling molecule in synaptic plasticity, neural circuits, memory, and drug addiction is described; and third, in light of the above descriptions, it is plausible to speculate that lactate is predominantly a signaling molecule in specific memory processes and partly acts as an energy substrate.

One hundred and ninety-four patients with SLE admitted to Yantaishan Hospital of Yantai from January 2012 to December 2017 were selected as SLE group. A total of 106 patients with non-SLE rheumatic disease were selected as disease control group and 120 healthy subjects as healthy control group.
