Background: The adulteration of milk is an important issue that needs to be addressed because of its deleterious effects on health. Detection of adulterants in milk can be done in laboratories or by purchasing adulteration detection kits. There are few home-based rapid tests to detect common milk adulterants, which are less known by our community.

Children's SARS-CoV-2 Infection and Their Vaccination.

SARS-CoV-2, a novel coronavirus, causes respiratory tract infections and other complications in affected individuals, and has resulted in numerous deaths worldwide. The unprecedented pace of its transmission worldwide, and the resultant heavy burden on healthcare systems everywhere, prompted efforts to have effective therapeutic strategies and vaccination candidates available to the global population. While aged and immunocompromised individuals form a high-risk group for COVID-19 and have severe disease outcome, the rate of infections among children has also increased with the emergence of the Omicron variant.

Hand Foot Mouth Disease During the SARS-CoV-2 Pandemic: A Multicentric Study.

Objectives: This prospective observational study aimed to identify the current trend of the circulating viral strains responsible for HFMD outbreak in four tertiary care centers in Rajasthan, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic (April-October 2022).

Methods: Cases with suspected HFMD, presenting to our skin outpatient department were assessed clinically and serologically (IgM antibodies against coxsackie virus (CV) A6, A16 and enterovirus 71) for evidence of the disease.

Results: We identified 718 new HFMD patients (161 adults) with peaks in May and August, 2022.

Successful Management of Severe Recalcitrant Pemphigus Vulgaris with Lenalidomide.

Pemphigus variants are treated with immunosuppressives and immunomodulators, but often, clinical remission is challenging. We report a case of pemphigus vulgaris (PV) with involvement of skin, oral mucosa, and esophagus, which failed to respond to commonly used drugs but showed a good response to lenalidomide.

Background: As generalized pruritus can be a symptom of a systemic disease, iron deficiency may be the underlying internal cause of its symptoms. Because data on the relationship between iron deficiency and generalized chronic pruritus are limited, more research is needed to ensure proper diagnosis and management.

Aims: To evaluate the prevalence of iron deficiency in patients with generalized chronic pruritus in the southeast region of Rajasthan and to assess the correlation of serum ferritin with iron deficiency variables.

On January 7th, after the nomenclature of this causative agent was done as Corona Virus Disease 2019, COVID19, the struggles to combat and try to control this illness have only so far been less helpful as more and more countries have exponential proportion of cases.

Clinical Characterization and Genomic Analysis of Samples from COVID-19 Breakthrough Infections during the Second Wave among the Various States of India.

From March to June 2021, India experienced a deadly second wave of COVID-19, with an increased number of post-vaccination breakthrough infections reported across the country. To understand the possible reason for these breakthroughs, we collected 677 clinical samples (throat swab/nasal swabs) of individuals from 17 states/Union Territories of the country who had received two doses ( = 592) and one dose ( = 85) of vaccines and tested positive for COVID-19. These cases were telephonically interviewed and clinical data were analyzed.

A complex case of brown tumors as initial manifestation of primary hyperparathyroidism in a young female.

Brown tumor is one of the lesions that develop in patients with hyperparathyroidism (HPT) and represents the terminal stages of bone remodeling process. Any of the skeletal bones can be affected including the craniomaxillofacial ones. Many a times, brown tumor was detected after a final diagnosis of HPT is made.

Background: The prescription error is a failure in the prescription writing process leading to wrong instructions about the identity of the recipient, the identity of the drug, the formulation, dose, route, timing, frequency, and duration of administration. This study is an effort directed to find errors in prescription writing and interventions to improve on such error-prone practices of prescription writing.

Methods: This was a cross-sectional, observational study conducted to analyze the prescription writing errors in the outpatient department in the rural area of Anand district of Central Gujarat.

Prevalence of LRTI in Patients Presenting with Productive Cough and Their Antibiotic Resistance Pattern.
