Chronic Subdural Hematoma after Endoscopic Third Ventriculostomy for Chronic Obstructive Hydrocephalus: A Case Report.

Endoscopic third ventriculostomy (ETV) is a safe treatment option for chronic obstructive hydrocephalus. However, we encountered a case of chronic subdural hematoma (CSDH) with bilateral large hematoma volumes after ETV for chronic obstructive hydrocephalus. We herein report a rare complication of ETV.

Congestive heart failure often occurs in patients with bilateral renal artery stenosis. Recently, Jacobson and Breyer, and Jacobson introduced the term "ischemic nephropathy", which implies critical bilateral involvement or global ischemia. Ischemic nephropathy is not only a cause of hypertension but also an important cause of end-stage renal disease.
