Cerebral sinus venous thrombosis (CSVT) is an uncommon and potentially life-threatening neurological disorder that is often missed because its clinical and radiological symptoms are not specific. Snake bites are a rare cause of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis that must be recognized and treated promptly to improve survival. Here, we present a case of a 30-year-old male patient who had cerebral venous thrombosis after snake bite in the rural area of southern Somalia.

Sturge-Weber syndrome is a rare, sporadic, progressive neurocutaneous condition that presents with congenital hamartomatous malformations, epilepsy, and a variety of facial symptoms. We discussed a rare case of an eighteen-year-old female child who came to our neurology department with status epilepticus, mental impairment, and a port-wine in the lateral left side of her face. We diagnosed Sturge-Weber syndrome after a thorough neurological and radiological evaluation.

Background: We undertook this cross-sectional study to determine the level of circulating anti-severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 immunoglobulins (IgM and IgG) in children, as well as to evaluate other potential risk factors.
Methods: Children attending the outpatient department of the SOS and Benadir Hospitals in Mogadishu from 26 July to 8 August 2021 were selected following parental consent. The children (aged <18 y) were screened using the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) rapid test lateral flow immune-assay kit.

Introduction And Importance: Traumatic open knee dislocation is a rare, severe injury characterized by severe ligamentous destruction and a high frequency of infection and neurovascular involvement. Delayed treatment of these injuries is complicated, necessitating the intervention of not only a skilled orthopedic surgeon but also a plastic surgeon. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case of delayed open knee dislocation faced by a practicing surgeon in an underdeveloped country (Somalia) with a successful outcome.
