Introduction: Fistula in ano is a complex disease, and the treatment for it is still a big challenge for surgeons because of the high recurrence rate (7 %-50 %) and incontinence, and to minimize these complications numerous surgical interventions are emerging daily in the conventional system of medicine.

Presentation Of Case: A 48- year- old male patient came with complaints of pus discharge from an external opening in the inner aspect of his right thigh, located about 22 to 25 cm away from the anal verge for the last 15 years and was diagnosed as long extrasphincteric fistula with intrarectal opening based on clinical and MRI findings. We successfully treated this case with a minimally invasive novel surgical technique, RetroGrade Probing and Application of KharaSutra and Division of the Fistulous Tract (RGPAKS- DFT).

Herein, waste-derived copper (Cu) flakes have been used as heterogeneous catalysts for the solvent-free and one-pot reductive acetamidation of nitroarenes. Metallic copper flakes (f-ZCu) were isolated from waste copper Cu scrap/flakes/turnings generated after the grinding and cutting (from the Cu industries). f-ZCu is being used to synthesize acetanilide with a considerable yield (∼82%) in one-step and solvent-free conditions within a reaction time of 6 h.

In the Indian sub-continent, tomato leaf curl disease (ToLCD) of tomato caused by begomoviruses has emerged as a major limiting factor for tomato cultivation. Despite the spread of this disease in the western India, a systematic study on the characterization of virus complexes with ToLCD is lacking. Here, we report the identification of a complex of begomoviruses including 19 DNA-A and 4 DNA-B as well as 15 betasatellites with ToLCD in the western part of the country.

Airway epithelial cells arrayed in the inner lining of the airways of the lung are believed to be the major source for the development of malignancy of the lung. The advent of in vitro cell culture model made it easy to understand the molecular mechanism of carcinogenesis at a cellular level, where the airway epithelial cells are cultured on a 2D surface submerged in the culture media. However, this method of culturing airway epithelial cells does not reflect their true nature, and thus results obtained have their limitations.

Tarballs, the remnants of crude oil which change into semi-solid phase due to various weathering processes in the sea, are rich in hydrocarbons, including toxic and almost non-degradable hydrocarbons. Certain microorganisms such as fungi are known to utilize hydrocarbons present in tarballs as sole source of carbon for nutrition. Previous studies have reported 53 fungal taxa associated with tarballs.

An environmentally benign solvent free synthesis of various spiro-1,4-dihydropyridines (1,4-DHPs) incorporating 2-oxindole/piperidines is performed in 5-8 min with reasonable purity in 80-90% yield under microwave irradiation using montmorillonite KSF as an inorganic solid support. The reaction is found to be general with respect to various cyclic carbonyl compounds, e.g.
