A Clinical Comparative Study of Dexmedetomidine, Dexamethasone, and Clonidine as Adjuvants to Local Anesthetics in Supraclavicular Brachial Plexus Blocks.

Introduction: The brachial plexus block is one of the peripheral blocks, beneath which the majority of upper limb surgical procedures are carried out. During upper limb surgery, a supraclavicular nerve block is an excellent substitute for general anesthesia.

Aim: This is a clinical comparative study of dexmedetomidine, dexamethasone, and clonidine as adjuvants to local anesthetics in supraclavicular brachial plexus block.

Etiology of hemoptysis: A retrospective study from a tertiary care hospital from northern Madhya Pradesh, India.

Objective: To evaluate the various etiologies of hemoptysis and outcome in an Indian cohort.

Material And Methods: Retrospective analysis of patients admitted with complaints of hemoptysis in the department of Pulmonary Medicine between April 2010 and March 2013. We categorized the patients according to various etiologies and according to the grades of hemoptysis.

Skull metastasis in papillary carcinoma of thyroid: A case report.

Papillary thyroid carcinoma with metastasis to the skull is extremely rare. We report a case of unsuspected papillary thyroid carcinoma with skull metastasis. A 48-year-old female patient presenting with painless, pulsatile, progressively increasing swelling in the occipitoparietal region of the scalp approached for an X-ray of the skull.
