Introduction: Diffuse glioma constitutes 28% of primary brain tumors. Until recently morphologic appearance was the only criterion for classifying these tumors. However, WHO 2016 incorporates molecular information in the primary diagnosis of gliomas such as Isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1), Alpha thalassemia/mental retardation syndrome X inked (ATRX) as well as 1p/19q codeletion on FISH.

Background: Coronary artery lesions (CAL) are a specific feature of Kawasaki disease (KD), and develop during the second week of illness. This study was conducted to determine whether Neutrophil: Lymphocyte Ratio (NLR), assessed between the fourth and sixth day of fever onset in children with KD, can predict coronary artery lesion (CAL) development.
Methods: In this review of hospital records, data of patients with KD admitted at our center between January, 2016 and January, 2020 was retrieved.
Background: Ventromedial hypothalamus (VMH) plays a major role in food intake, obesity and energy homeostasis. There is a report of gender difference in energy balance with increased vulnerability of males to cardiac disease.
Purpose: Body metabolism is greatly influenced by the diet we eat and some of the blood parameters like plasma glucose, insulin, lipid profile and thyroid profile depict a picture of energy homeostasis of the body.
