Despite the ongoing progress in detecting and treating cancer, there is still a need for extensive research into the molecular mechanisms involved in the emergence, progression, and resistance to recurrence of female reproductive tissue-specific cancers such as ovarian, breast, cervical, and endometrial cancers. The nuclear paraspeckle assembly transcript 1 (NEAT1) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) that exhibits increased expression in female tumors. Moreover, elevated levels of NEAT1 have been associated with poorer survival outcomes in cancer patients.

Background: Crohn's disease is a chronic, relapsing form of inflammatory bowel disease marked by severe gastrointestinal inflammation and a broad range of debilitating symptoms. Despite advances in medical treatments, achieving sustained remission remains challenging for many patients. This umbrella review aims to consolidate evidence from various systematic reviews to evaluate the efficacy and safety of stem cell therapies in treating Crohn's disease.

Monolayer 2D transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) show high sensitivity to the local dielectric environment, leading to modulation of their optoelectronic properties. Here, we report on the formation of localized trions in a MoS/few-layer graphene van der Waals heterostructure. We performed temperature-dependent photoluminescence and Raman studies down to 80 K, to understand the mechanism for localized charge excitation, which shows contrasting behaviour with MoS/SiO.

Rhodamine-imidazole hydrazones (RIH-1 & RIH-2) based chemosensors have been synthesized. These are characterised and evaluated by FT-IR spectroscopy, H-NMR, C-NMR, LCMS, absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy. These chemosensors exhibit enhanced sensitivity and selectivity in detecting the biologically significant Fe metal ion through both colorimetric and fluorescence changes.

Focusing on practical engineering applications, this study introduces the Multi-Objective Resistance-Capacitance Optimization Algorithm (MORCOA), a new approach for multi-objective optimization problems. MORCOA uses the transient response behaviour of resistance-capacitance circuits to navigate complex optimization landscapes and identify global optima when faced with many competing objectives. The core approach of MORCOA combines a dynamic elimination-based crowding distance mechanism with non-dominated sorting to generate an ideal and evenly distributed Pareto front.

Exosomes are widely recognized for their roles in numerous biological processes and as intercellular communication mediators. Human cancerous and normal cells can both produce massive amounts of exosomes. They are extensively dispersed in tumor-modeling animals' pleural effusions, ascites, and plasma from people with cancer.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) still prevails and continues to increase indiscriminately throughout the 21st century, and is thus responsible for the depreciating quality of health and associated sectors. AD is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder marked by a significant amassment of beta-amyloid plaques and neurofibrillary tangles near the hippocampus, leading to the consequent loss of cognitive abilities. Conventionally, amyloid and tau hypotheses have been established as the most prominent in providing detailed insight into the disease pathogenesis and revealing the associative biomarkers intricately involved in AD progression.

This study demonstrates the use of computational methods to simulate the molecular dynamics involved in hemoglobin concentration sensing, utilizing Material Studio and the TCAD Silvaco device simulator. A non-invasive and flexible Graphene/MoS2 heterostructure has been proposed for sensing hemoglobin concentration in blood samples. The findings reveal a notable shift in the wavelength-dependent refractive index and extinction coefficient, as well as significant changes in the absorption coefficient and reflectivity of the Graphene/MoS2 heterostructure in response to different hemoglobin concentrations, specifically within an approximate range of 0.
