This paper highlights the effect of diphenylcyclopropenone (DPCP) sensitization on warts resistant to other treatments and is interesting in views of the fact that all the facial warts apparently responded. To analyze the efficacy and side-effects of DPCP treatment of viral warts, a prospective study was designed to follow six patients with chronic and resistant facial warts through immunotherapy sensitization with diphenylcyclopropenone for 10 weekly sessions. The hereditary sensory and autonomic neuropathies (HSAN) are a group of rare disorders characterized by prominent sensory and autonomic neuropathy without motor involvement. We report three male cousins with chronic foot ulcers, all were affected with late-onset HSAN type 2 (HSAN2). In view of the history of consanguinity and male sex, X-linked recessive transmission was likely in our patients.

Background: Highly variable results of topical diphenylcyclopropenone (DPCP) in the treatment of alopecia areata have been reported so far. The purposes of the present study were to evaluate the efficacy and tolerability of DPCP treatment in severe alopecia areata.
Methods: Twenty-eight patients (16 female and 12 male, 10-35 years old, mean age 25 years) with extensive alopecia areata were enrolled in an open-label clinical trial.
