The article presents an intelligent temperature transducer (ITT), which can work with a two-wire or a three-wire platinum resistance temperature detector (RTD). The ITT design allowed for compensation of the RTD's lead wire resistance. The ITT used the author's auto-calibration procedure, which minimized linearity errors of the ITT and RTD processing characteristics, ITT offset and gain errors, and errors resulting from changes in the ITT operating conditions concerning the nominal conditions.

This study explores the controlled, continuous production of thin carbon rods between graphite electrodes (continued electrode deposits) during an arc discharge of high voltage alternating current with a frequency of 50 Hz in liquid paraffin, along with in situ doping of the resulting material using a suspension of liquid paraffin and iron powder ( <10 μm). The surface morphology of the obtained carbon rod nanomaterials was characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) coupled with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) with EDX chemical composition analysis, X-ray microtomography (micro-CT), and atomic force microscopy (AFM). The AFM technique in scanning thermal microscopy (SThM) and conductive probe (CP) modes was employed to determine the temperature and electrical conductivity of the obtained nanostructures.

The common machining technologies for difficult-to-machine materials do not remarkably ensure acceptable efficiency and precision in bulk materials cutting. High-energy abrasive water injection jet (AWIJ) treatment can cut diverse materials, even multi-layer composites characterized by divergent properties, accurately cutting complex profiles and carrying them out in special circumstances, such as underwater locations or explosion hazard areas. This work reports research on the AWIJ machining quality performance of X22CrMoV12-1 high-alloy steel.

Background: Cardiac arrest constitutes a critical medical emergency necessitating swift intervention to reinstate normal heart rhythm and prevent harm to vital organs. The pivotal role of bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in influencing survival rates is well recognized. With older adults being the most common group to witness such events, it's curcial to understand their attitudes and knowledge about performing CPR.

(1) Autoimmune thyroiditis (AIT) is the most common cause of primary hypothyroidism and one of the most frequent organ-specific autoimmune diseases. Its pathogenesis is polygenic and still requires further research. The aim of the study was to assess, for the first time in the Caucasian population, the role of selected gene promoter polymorphisms (rs2071399 G/A, rs2071400C/T, rs2071402 A/G, and rs2071403 A/G) in the development of AIT.

The use of selected multi-criteria decision methods for the optimization of cutting processes by abrasive water jet methods is increasingly being used in industrial processes. This is due to the complexity of the processes and the need to reduce operating costs. Process optimization methods are available to support organizational processes including the design phase, quality assurance, production automation, and many more.

The main dilemma in the case of classification tasks is to find-from among many combinations of methods, techniques and values of their parameters-such a structure of the classifier model that could achieve the best accuracy and efficiency. The aim of the article is to develop and practically verify a framework for multi-criteria evaluation of classification models for the purposes of credit scoring. The framework is based on the Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) method called PROSA (PROMETHEE for Sustainability Analysis), which brought added value to the modelling process, allowing the assessment of classifiers to include the consistency of the results obtained on the training set and the validation set, and the consistency of the classification results obtained for the data acquired in different time periods.

This paper describes research on the influence the technology of zinc-coated steel wire manufacturing has on the energy and force parameters of the drawing process, energy consumption and zinc expenditure. In the theoretical part of the paper, the theoretical work and drawing power were calculated. Calculations of the electric energy consumption have shown that usage of the optimal wire drawing technology results in a 37% drop in energy consumption, which in the course of a single year translates to savings equal to 13 TJ.

Composites are materials with a heterogeneous structure, composed of two or more components with different properties. The properties of composites are never the sum or average of the properties of their components. There is a lot of research and many models on the different property assessments of composite materials.

In Bangladesh, more clarity is needed on data that could contribute to the provision of sustainable banking services. Therefore, the qualitative exploration of bank employees' skills to advance contemporary banking careers and services has been rational. Moreover, limited knowledge of what constitutes a sustainable banking career and service inspires this study to adapt to the new normal post-COVID-19.

The article presents the method of producing gold nanoparticles using a high voltage arc discharge of alternating current with a frequency of 50 Hz in distilled water. The equipment necessary to carry out the process is described, including the construction of the reactor and the power source of a very simple design necessary to generate a high-voltage arc discharge between the electrodes. Arc discharge processes were carried out two times for 2 and 5 minutes, respectively, in ambient conditions without thermostating the reactor, at medium temperature varying in the range of 25-70 °C.

The paper presents the impact of the drawing method on the microstructure and corrosion resistance of galvanized steel wires. The microstructural tests confirmed that, in the drawing speed range v = 5-20 m/s, the use of hydrodynamic dies creates more favorable conditions for the deformation of the soft zinc coating on the hard steel core. The increase in friction at the wire/die interface in the conventional method, as compared to the hydrodynamic method, contributed to the decrease in coating thickness and the increase in the diffusion layer, and the higher the drawing speed, the greater the differences between the analyzed drawing methods.

This article presents research related to the transformation of geraniol (GA), leading to the formation of products with very valuable properties. In the planned method, heterogeneous catalysts of natural origin in the form of alum and diatomite were used as catalysts. Initially, the process which we investigated was the process of isomerization of GA, but it turned out during the studies that GA is also transformed in other reactions.

In this study, functional fitness is defined as the level of independence and self-sufficiency of an elderly person, which facilitates leading an independent life, without the need for assistance from other people. A decrease in functional fitness among older adults is influenced by a variety of factors. In addition to changes occurring in the human body in accordance with the laws of ontogenetic development, they can also be analyzed in terms of somatic parameters and the age of the subjects.
