Binary ionic melts formed by a protic ionic liquid (PIL) 1,2,4-triazolium methanesulfonate ([TAZ][MS]) dissolved in methanesulfonic acid are studied as non-stoichiometric electrolytes. The composition-driven structure-property relationship of methanesulfonic acid is explored at varying molar fraction ratios from 0/100 to 10/90, 20/80, and 30/70 by the addition of 1,2,4-triazolium methanesulfonate [TAZ][MS] IL. To unveil molecular characteristics of these mixtures of [TAZ][MS] PIL and CHSOH, we performed classical molecular dynamics simulations at varying temperatures from 293 to 303, 363, and 423 K.

Background: The relationship between the extent and severity of stress-induced ischemia and the extent and severity of anatomic coronary artery disease (CAD) in patients with obstructive CAD is multifactorial and includes the intensity of stress achieved, type of testing used, presence and extent of prior infarction, collateral blood flow, plaque characteristics, microvascular disease, coronary vasomotor tone, and genetic factors. Among chronic coronary disease participants with site-determined moderate or severe ischemia, we investigated associations between ischemia severity on stress testing and the extent of CAD on coronary computed tomography angiography.
Methods: Clinically indicated stress testing included nuclear imaging, echocardiography, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, or nonimaging exercise tolerance test.

In this research work, nitrogen-doped carbon dots (N-CDs) adorned zinc oxide nanoparticles (N-CDs/ZnO) were successfully synthesized by a simple and cost-effective solution dispersion method and later on used as photocatalyst for decontamination of aqueous methylene blue (MB) dye on irradiation of UV light (300 W, 320-400 nm) at room temperature. Both the N-CDs and ZnO were prepared through green technique utilizing non-toxic, inexpensive and eco-friendly precursors, namely Foeniculum vulgare and Psidium guajava leaf extract, respectively. All the synthesized samples exhibited crystalline nature with average diameter of particle 4.

Developing pure diastereoisomeric molecular hybrids for the selective inhibition of bacterial growth opened new avenues for combating the ever-increasing microbial resistance. Considering this, a series of diastereoisomeric pure pyrazolyl-dihydrofurans (7a-7y) were synthesized and characterized using NMR, LCMS, and X-ray crystallography. DFT based method was used to explore the configurational stability of cis over trans isomeric form.

Background: Poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase-1 (PARP-1) is a pan nuclear protein that utilizes NAD as a substrate for poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation reaction (PARylation), resulting in both auto-modification and the modification of its accepter proteins. Earlier reports suggested that several nucleolar proteins interact and colocalize with PARP-1, leading to their PARylation. However, whether PARP-1 has any role in nucleolar biogenesis and the functional relevance of such a role is still obscure.

Green nanomaterials can mitigate ecological concerns by minimizing the impact of toxic contaminants on human and environmental health. Biosynthesis seems to be drawing unequivocal attention as the traditional methods of producing nanoparticles through chemical and physical routes are not sustainable. In order to utilize plant biomass, the current review outlines a sustainable method for producing non-toxic plant biomass-based nanoparticles and discusses their applications as well as recent trends involved in the remediation of contaminants, like organic/inorganic pollutants, pharmaceuticals, and radioactive pollutants from aquatic ecosystems.

In contemporary scenario, electric power companies have observed upsurge in penetration level of tidal power plants (TPPs) in the traditional electric power system framework. However, the tidal turbines offer less frequency assistance due to their lesser rotor mass. Hence, TPPs may be collaborated with conventional units like diesel engine generator (DEG) to confirm system frequency stability in multi-area micro-grid system.
