Purpose: The purpose of this document is to clarify the biomechanical principles involved when zygoma implants are placed under functional loads.
Methods: Two independent reviewers conducted electronic search of the literature from January 2000 to February 2023 describing the biomechanical principles involved using the zygoma implant for maxillary reconstruction. Articles describing the stresses within the zygoma implant, the maxillary bone and the zygoma bone under functional loads were included.

Complex study of quadrupolar azacrown dye (E,E)-5,5́-Bis[2-(4-(4',7',10',13',16'-pentaoxa-1 azacyclooctadecyl)phenyl)ethenyl]-2,2́-bipyridine 1 was performed. Electronic spectra of absorption and fluorescence in different solvents exhibit strong solvatochromism. Electrooptical absorption measurements (EOAM) were performed to determine the electric dipole moments.

Electrooptical absorption measurements (EOAM), solvatochromic dependences and quantum chemical simulations testify to large dipole moments change of two quadrupolar oligophenylenevinylenes upon transition to Franck-Condon excited state μ. The values of the dipole moments μ and μ are in the range [(4.2 - 4.

Background And Aims: To describe the biology of alveolar bone regeneration.
Material And Methods: Four comprehensive reviews were performed on (a) mesenchymal cells and differentiation factors leading to bone formation; (b) the critical interplay between bone resorbing and formative cells; (c) the role of osteoimmunology in the formation and maintenance of alveolar bone; and (d) the self-regenerative capacity following bone injury or tooth extraction were prepared prior to the workshop.
Results And Conclusions: This summary information adds to the fuller understanding of the alveolar bone regenerative response with implications to reconstructive procedures for patient oral rehabilitation.

The results from the electrooptical absorption measurements (EOAM) on the equilibrium ground and excited Franck-Condon state dipole moments of Prodan and Laurdan in 1,4-dioxane are presented. As follows from experiments Prodan and Laurdan in the equilibrium ground and excited Franck-Condon state have two conformers with considerably different dipole moments. The electrical dipole moments and the transition dipole moment, obtained from the short-wavelength region of the absorption spectrum are parallel.

Clusterin/Apolipoprotein J is a protein that is upregulated in a broad spectrum of diverse pathological processes. The predominant form is a secreted glycoprotein (sCLU) with cytoprotective and anti-inflammatory properties which shows enhanced expression in vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMC) following aortic injury and in atherosclerotic disease. Recent evidence indicates that during atherosclerosis, Toll-like receptors (TLRs) are activated in vascular cells by endogenous ligands.
