Background: The aim of this study was to evaluate variations in the surface roughness and gloss of different single-shade resin composites after polishing with a range of systems.
Methods: In total, 120 specimens were prepared from three different types of single-shade resin composites (supra-nanospherical-Omnichroma, nanohybrid-Charisma Diamond One, and microhybrid- Essentia Universal). The specimens were placed in distilled water and stored at 37 °C for 24 h.

Purpose: To evaluate different polishing methods' effects on the color stability of recent resin composites.
Methods: 160 samples for color stability evaluation and 40 samples for the degree of conversion evaluation were prepared with four different resin composites [Harmonize (H), Filtek Universal (F), Omnichroma (O), Essentia Universal (E)] and light cured. For color stability evaluation, samples prepared from each resin composite were divided into four groups: three polishing procedures and a control group.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of in-office bleaching in esthetic dentistry on the roughness and color stability of the enamel surface, using different concentrations of hydrogen peroxide (HP). Fifty human incisors were randomly divided into 5 groups ( = 10). No bleaching was performed in the control group.

Objectives: The aim of this retrospective study was to evaluate the morphology of the olfactory fossa in the Turkish population using cone-beam computed tomography according to Keros classification and to investigate the effect of age, gender and nasal septum deviation on the olfactory fossa.
Material And Methods: Olfactory fossa (OF) were analysed in coronal sections on cone-beam computed tomography images of 385 individuals. Nasal floor (NF), medial ethmoid roof point (MERP), cribriform plate (CP) heights, CP depth and width, OF width, lateral lamella-cribriform plate angle (LLCPA), and nasal septum deviation angle (NSDA) were measured.

Objectives: Considering that the first visit for dentofacial trauma is generally in emergency departments, the awareness and knowledge of the emergency medicine staff regarding the treatment of dentofacial injuries is very important for the prognosis. The aim of this study was to investigate the knowledge, education, and self-confidence levels of emergency medicine physicians and nurses concerning the diagnosis and treatment of dentofacial traumatic injuries in pediatric patients.
Methods: This questionnaire-based, cross-sectional study included emergency medicine physicians and emergency medicine nurses.

Aim: The aim of this study is to determine the age and most common reasons of the first dental visit among preschool children, taking into account family income and parental education in Turkey.
Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in a state dental hospital on 519 children aged 0-5 years who had their first dental visit with no previous dental experience. Data on age and reasons for the first dental visit of the children and parent relevant data on family income, educational level, dental visit frequency, and satisfaction about the oral health care information was collected by means of a questionnaire.

Objective: To evaluate clinical and histological characteristics and determine the incidence of natal/neonatal teeth in a large Turkish population.
Subjects And Methods: Among 17,829 newborns, who were hospitalized at the Neonatal Clinic of a governmental Children's Hospital between 2005 and 2011, 27 neonates were diagnosed with erupted teeth, which were examined in terms of location, clinical appearance and mobility. Besides histological evaluation, a positive family history was also recorded.

Objective: The aim of this study is to determine the frequency of dental anomalies (DAs) (microdontia, hypodontia, hyperdontia, enamel defect, root malformation) in pediatric cancer patients at the ages <5 years and between 5 and 7 years, and understand their relationship with the received therapy.
Materials And Methods: Pediatric patients who were diagnosed with cancer and treated before the age of 7 years were investigated in a case- control design. The study included 93 pediatric patients whose ages at diagnosis were between 9 months and 7 years and whose treatments were completed before 5-8 years.
