Aims: The addition of aflibercept to the fluorouracil and irinotecan (FOLFIRI) regimen significantly improved clinical outcomes in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer (CRC) previously treated with oxaliplatin. We aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of second-line FOLFIRI and aflibercept combination in patients with metastatic CRC in real-life experience.
Materials And Methods: Four hundred and thirty-three patients who treated with FOLFIRI and aflibercept in the second-line were included in the study.

Purpose: The present study evaluates procedure-associated pain and side effects in the gastrointestinal-genitourinary system in patients with early-stage prostate cancer who were treated with image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT), accompanied by an ultrasound-guided transrectal implantation of fiducial markers, without local anesthesia.
Materials And Methods: A total of 46 patients who referred to our clinics between 2012 and 2017 with a diagnosis of early-stage prostate cancer were included in the study. Before undergoing radiotherapy, all patients were implanted with three intraprostatic fiducial markers through the ultrasound-guided transrectal approach without local anesthesia.

Introduction: Phonomicrolaryngeal surgery involves the surgical treatment of benign disorders of the vocal folds. Postoperative scar tissue in vocal fold mucosa is undesired because mucosal hypodynamia may lead to prolonged impairment in voice quality. This study aims to present and share the outcomes of a new endolaryngeal suture technique.

Objectives/hypothesis: Bilateral vocal fold paralysis (BVFP) is a clinical condition that may require emergency intervention that is characterized by airway obstruction. The main aspect to be taken under consideration in treatment is to preserve the vocal functions as much as possible while also ensuring an open airway. This study aims to present the preliminary results of a novel surgical method that we refer to as "posterior glottoplasty," which has been performed on BVFP patients to minimize phonation disorder and achieve a better respiratory function.

Osteomas are generally benign tumors of the skull that affect all age groups and are diagnosed in the fourth or fifth decade of life, and are rare in childhood. Surgical resection is curative and malignant transformation is very rare. A 12-yearboy who had undergone a craniotomy for resection of a parietal osteoma four years ago, followed by a cranioplasty with methylmethacrylate bone cement, presented to our clinic with an expanding mass overlying the cranioplasty.

Polyether ether ketone (PEEK), a material commonly used in industry, has recently been introduced in medicine. The use of PEEK in place of gold in gold marker implantation for prostate radiotherapy has been suggested to be advantageous because it is associated with a lower level of artefacts. In this study, we present a disadvantage of this newly introduced method, which has not yet been defined in the literature, and offer a solution for this problem to shed light on this issue, which has not yet been completely understood.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to evaluate expression of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) synthesis and repair markers in testicular tissues of azoospermic men in whom sperm retrieval could and could not be achieved as a result of microdissection testicular sperm extraction (micro-TESE) procedure.
Materials And Methods: In this prospective cohort study, testicular tissues were retrieved from 60 Non-obstructive Azoospermia (NOA) patients who underwent micro-TESE procedure. These patients were divided into twogroups: micro-TESE positive group, which included 30 NOA patients from whom sperm could be extracted via micro-TESE procedure; and micro-TESE negative group, which included 30 NOA patients from whom sperm retrieval could not be achieved via micro-TESE procedure.

Introduction: Chronic myeloproliferative disorders (CMPD) are chronic myeloid hematological disorders, characterized by increased myeloid cell proliferation and fibrosis. Impaired apoptotic mechanisms, increased cell proliferation, uncontrolled hematopoietic cell proliferation and myeloaccumulation may contribute to the pathogenesis of CMPD. The aim of our study was to show the possible role of FAS/FASL gene polymorphisms in CMPD pathogenesis and investigate the association with clinical parameters and susceptibility to disease.

Background: Elbow fractures are a common injury seen among emergency department trauma patients. Despite its high frequency, there is no standardized method of diagnosis using conventional x-ray imaging for trauma patients presenting with elbow pain and restricted elbow movement.
Objective: We aimed to assess trauma patients, using computed tomography (CT), who present with a positive elbow extension test and have no evident fracture on x-ray study.
