Background And Purpose: In this study, we present an electrochemical sensor for the detection of oxypeucedanin (Oxyp) and prantschimgin (Pra), two natural furanocoumarin derivatives. The determination of the effects of these molecules on DNA is important to be potential drug candidates. Our research focused on exploring the electrochemical behaviour of these compounds and their interaction with DNA.

This paper presents the findings of a comprehensive study exploring the synergistic effects arising from the combination of microwave ablation and pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy on prostate cancer cells. The research encompassed five distinct experimental groups, with continuous electric field measurements conducted during the entire treatment process. Group 1 and Group 2, subjected to microwave power below 350 W, exhibited specific electric field values of 72,800 V/m and 56,600 V/m, respectively.

Objective: Methotrexate (MTX), a widely used chemotherapeutic and immunosuppressive agent, is associated with hepatotoxicity, leading to liver fibrosis and cirrhosis. This study explores the regenerative and reparative effects of fisetin, a flavonoid with known antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, on MTX-induced liver fibrosis in a rat model.
Materials And Methods: Thirty-six male Wistar albino rats were divided into normal, MTX and saline, and MTX and fisetin.

Objective: In this research, we aimed to elucidate the effect of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) and obesity on pulmonary volumes and bronchial hyperreactivity, and particularly the effect of supine position on pulmonary volume and functions.
Patients And Methods: This was a prospective, cross-sectional study with a total of 96 patients (age range, 20-65 years). Based on the body mass index (BMI) and Apnea-Hypopnea Index (AHI) scores, the patients were divided into four groups: Group 1: AHI≥15/h, BMI≥30 kg/m2 (n=24), Group 2: AHI≥15/h, BMI<30 kg/m2 (n=24), Group 3: AHI<15/h, BMI≥30 kg/m2 (n=24), and Group 4: AHI<15/h, BMI<30 kg/m2 (n=24).

Plasma medicine is gaining attraction in the medical field, particularly the use of cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) in biomedicine. The chemistry of the plasma is complex, and the reactive oxygen species (ROS) within it are the basis for the biological effect of CAP on the target. Understanding how the oxidative power of ROS responds to diverse plasma parameters is vital for standardizing the effective application of CAP.

Background: Taping stimulates the mechanoreceptors, increases sensory information to the central nervous system, and improves sensorimotor synchronization, resulting in improved motor control. However, the efficacy of taping on elbow proprioception is not clear.
Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the immediate effects of taping on elbow proprioception in healthy individuals.

In this editorial review, we comment on the article published in the recent issue of the . Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) is a fetal glycoprotein and can be secreted in very small amounts from healthy adults after birth. CEA is widely used not only for diagnostic tumor markers but also importantly for the management of some gastrointestinal tumors.

Background: Exergaming has been suggested as a rehabilitation method since it is more motivational for people with multiple sclerosis (MS, pwMS). However, the major disadvantage of this method is the lack of specific scenarios designed for pwMS.
Objectives: This study aims to assess the feasibility of exergaming, which was developed for pwMS.
Objective: The study aimed to reveal the approaches to coping with stress of women with breast cancer and the factors predicting these approaches, to determine the prevalence and characteristics of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM), and to examine the relationship between use of CAM and approaches to coping with stress.
Methods: A descriptive and cross-sectional study was conducted among 328 women with breast cancer at a training and research hospital in Türkiye. Data were collected with the "Descriptive Information Form" and the "Stress Coping Styles Scale (SCSS)".

The number of implants and their respective configurations for implant-supported treatment modalities have been studied for 4 implant-supported prostheses; however, it is not yet clear whether the use of tilting or short implants in rehabilitation would result in substantially improved bone/implant/prosthesis biomechanics in all-on-six concepts. This study compared the biomechanical behavior of tilted long implants and axially short implants to support fixed prostheses in an atrophic maxilla with all-on-six treatment concepts. Three different implant configurations were planned, and six models were obtained with posterior maxilla D3 and D4 bone densities in this study.

A reliable, versatile means of assessing visuo-motor reaction time (V-MRT) is important to football (soccer) players for many reasons, including the fact that faster V-MRT is a critical sport skill that may even play a role in reducing common sports injuries to the lower muscle extremities that can be associated with lost time on the field. We aimed to determine the test-retest reliability and minimum detectable change (MDC) of the Brain Pro System for assessing lower-extremity V-MRT in young male football players. We had 68 participants ( age = 16.

Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is an enormous global health threat stemming from human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-1) infection. Up to now, the tremendous advances in combination antiretroviral therapy (cART) have shifted HIV-1 infection from a fatal illness into a manageable chronic disorder. However, the presence of latent reservoirs, the multifaceted nature of HIV-1, drug resistance, severe off-target effects, poor adherence, and high cost restrict the efficacy of current cART targeting the distinct stages of the virus life cycle.

Wnt-signaling pathway plays a crucial role in the pathogenesis and progression of Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML). sFRP1 is involved in the suppression of the Wnt-signaling pathway and has been shown to be epigenetically silenced by promoter hypermethylation during CML progression. DNMT3A plays a crucial role in promoter hypermethylation and is responsible for establishing methylation patterns.
