Background: In addition to the health effects of plant-based diets, their impact on the environment is becoming increasingly important. This study was conducted to assess the impact of adherence to a plant-based diet on sustainable eating behaviors.

Materials And Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted on 2122 Turkish adults, 73% female and 27% male.

Methods: This study included 118 adult patients diagnosed with prediabetes mellitus who presented to outpatient clinics between April 2021 and January 2022.

Analysis of Grunting Sound in Infants for Predicting the Severity of Respiratory Distress Syndrome.

Objective: Vocalizations from infants, particularly sounds associated with respiratory distress, are fundamental for observational scoring of respiratory tract issues. Listening to these infant sounds is a prevalent technique for decision-making in newborn intensive care units. Expiratory grunting, indicative of the severity and presence of potential conditions, is valuable, however, this evaluative method is subjective and prone to error.

The adjunctive use of antimicrobial photodynamic therapy, light-emitting-diode photobiomodulation and ozone therapy in regenerative treatment of stage III/IV grade C periodontitis: a randomized controlled clinical trial.

Objectives: To assess the short-term efficacy of multiple sessions of antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (aPDT), light-emitting-diode (LED) photobiomodulation, and topical ozone therapy applications following surgical regenerative treatments on clinical parameters, patient-centered outcomes, and mRNA expression levels of VEGF, IL-6, RunX2, Nell-1, and osterix in gingival crevicular fluid samples in patients with stage III/IV, grade C periodontitis.

Materials And Methods: Forty-eight systemically healthy patients were assigned into four groups to receive adjunctive modalities with regenerative periodontal surgical treatment. A 970 ± 15 nm diode laser plus indocyanine-green for aPDT group, a 626 nm LED for photobiomodulation group, and topical gaseous ozone were applied at 0, 1, 3, and 7 postoperative days and compared to control group.

Hydroxychloroquine attenuates sepsis-induced acute respiratory distress syndrome in rats.

Background: This study investigates the effects of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) on a sepsis-induced acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) model in rats, initiated by a fecal intraperitoneal injection procedure (FIP).
