Division of Musculoskeletal and Dermatological Sciences, Centre for Musculoskeletal Research, School of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health, Manchester Academic Health Science Centre, The University of Manchester, Manchester, UK.

Limited evidence on long-term COVID-19 vaccine safety in patients with idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIMs) continues to contribute to vaccine hesitancy. We studied delayed-onset vaccine adverse events (AEs) in patients with IIMs, other systemic autoimmune and inflammatory disorders (SAIDs), and healthy controls (HCs), using data from the second COVID-19 Vaccination in Autoimmune Diseases (COVAD) study. A validated self-reporting e-survey was circulated by the COVAD study group (157 collaborators, 106 countries) from Feb-June 2022.

Objective: Aim: To study the role of certain neurotransmitters (brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT)), metalloenzymes (matrix met-alloproteinase-9) (MMP-9) and hormones (ghrelin) in the pathogenesis of mental disorders associated with stress under the impact of traumatic events.

Patients And Methods: Materials and methods: We conducted a systematic search of major electronic medical databases published before October 1, 2022. Such keywords as (post-traumatic stress disorder OR PTSD), (Brain-derived neurotrophic factor OR BDNF), (matrix metalloproteinase-9 OR MMP-9), (serotonin OR 5-HT), ghrelin, melatonin identified relevant studies.

Objective: Aim: To determine the effect of laser irradiation of different spectrum on the expression of neuronal proteins (GFAP, S100, NSE and NF-L) in the sciatic nerve during its regeneration after crossing and surgical suturing.

Patients And Methods: Materials and methods: The experiment was performed on 60 laboratory rats of the Wistar line (200-250 g) with crossing of the left sciatic nerve and sutur¬ing with an epineural suture end to end 30 minutes after neurotomy. 90 days later, an immunohistochemical study was performed using specific antibodies (Thermo Fisher Scientific; USA).

The aim of the research is to study the microstructure, antibiotic-absorbing and framework capacity of the fibrous non-woven PCL matrices designed by us for the regeneration of tissues and capillaries. Samples of microfibrous non-woven matrices made by our technology out of polycaprolactone PCL (invention patent of Ukraine № 119958) were used in the work. Antibiotic retention in samples of matrix materials was evaluated during the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 14th, 18th and 21st days of the experiment.

The impact of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) on lung tissue in patients on respiratory support is of significant scientific interest in predicting mortality. This study aimed to analyze post-mortem histological changes in the lung tissue of COVID-19 patients on respiratory support using vital radiology semiotics. A total of 41 autopsies were performed on patients who died of SARS-CoV-2 and had confirmed COVID-19 by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and radiological evidence of lung tissue consolidation and ground glass opacity.

The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of prolonged exposure to the oxidative agent NaClO on histopathological changes in the lung tissues of laboratory animals. Specifically, the study aimed to examine morphological changes in the pulmonary microcirculation and the level of vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1) as a functional activity indicator of endothelial cells in animals with induced systemic sclerosis (SSc). A laboratory animal model was used to assess the impact of long-term exposure to NaClO on lung tissues.

Aim: To investigate the neurofunctional parameters in breast cancer (BC) patients with paclitaxel-induced peripheral neuropathy (PIPN) and to clarify the feasibility of using alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) in combination with the acetylcholinesterase inhibitor ipidacrine hydrochloride (IPD) for its prevention.

Materials And Methods: 100 BC patients (T1-4N0-3M0-1) prescribed for polychemotherapy (PCT) by the AT (paclitaxel, doxorubicin) or ET (paclitaxel, epirubicin) regimens in the neoadjuvant, adjuvant or palliative modes, were enrolled. The patients were randomized into two groups (n = 50 per group): group I treated by PCT only; group II treated with PCT plus the studied PIPN prevention scheme (ALA in combination with IPD).
