Multiple testing for signal-agnostic searches for new physics with machine learning.

In this work, we address the question of how to enhance signal-agnostic searches by leveraging multiple testing strategies. Specifically, we consider hypothesis tests relying on machine learning, where model selection can introduce a bias towards specific families of new physics signals. Focusing on the New Physics Learning Machine, a methodology to perform a signal-agnostic likelihood-ratio test, we explore a number of approaches to multiple testing, such as combining -values and aggregating test statistics.

We report the first case of post-infective neuromuscular hyperexcitability syndrome in a 23-year-old male patient with CF and pulmonary exacerbation. CNS radiological investigations were unremarkable and no autoantibodies were detected.

To illustrate these points, we outline the general conceptual framework that underlies most empirical studies of theory of mind and discuss their pros and cons; then, we discuss the Theory of Mind Assessment Scale, a tool developed to investigate the complexity of theory of mind, which adopts a different perspective and has been successfully tested on numerous populations.

Introduction: The critical role played by vascular dysfunction and ineffective angiogenesis in the pathophysiology of systemic sclerosis (SSc) suggests that circulating biomarkers reflecting these alterations may be useful in the clinical evaluation of this patient group. Thus, we aimed to evaluate the impact of different spinal orthoses on pain, functionality, and quality of life in patients with OVFs.

Sodium MRI can measure sodium concentrations in people with multiple sclerosis, but the extent to which these alterations reflect metabolic dysfunction in the absence of tissue damage or neuroaxonal loss remains uncertain. Increases in total sodium concentration and extracellular sodium concentration are believed to be indicative of tissue disruption and extracellular space expansion. Conversely, increase in intracellular sodium concentration may represent early and transient responses to neuronal insult, preceding overt tissue damage.

Low condylectomy and functional therapy alone for unilateral condylar osteochondroma treatment: case report and literature review.
