Background: Axial postural abnormalities (APAs) are frequent and disabling axial symptoms of Parkinson's disease (PD). Image-based measurement is considered the gold standard but may not accurately detect the true severity of APAs because these symptoms can appear or get worse under dynamic conditions.
Objective: The aim was to evaluate quantitative changes in APAs degree during prolonged standing and walking in both single- and dual-task conditions (motor + cognitive).

Anticipatory postural adjustments (APAs) are responsible for a successful first step execution in handstand walking. This study evaluates gymnasts' ability to adapt their APAs and stepping parameters in response to adding/removing an external load over repeated handstand walking initiation trials. Eighteen gymnasts performed five handstand walking initiation trials without load (PRE), eight trials with an external load (LOAD) and five trials with removed load (POST).

Objective: This study aims to improve genetic diagnosis in childhood onset epilepsy with neurodevelopmental problems by utilizing RNA sequencing of fibroblasts to identify pathogenic variants that may be missed by exome sequencing and copy number variation analysis.
Methods: We enrolled 41 individuals with childhood onset epilepsy and neurodevelopmental problems who previously had inconclusive genetic testing. Fibroblast samples were cultured and analyzed using RNA sequencing to detect aberrant expression, aberrant splicing, and monoallelic expression using the Detection of RNA Outlier Pipeline (DROP) pipeline.

Introduction: In facial cosmetic surgery, injectable liquid silicone has been used to augment the cheek and the lips and to camouflage facial wrinkles. However, complications started to arise in 1964 as postoperative silicone granuloma formation. The purpose of this study is to introduce our experience in facial reconstruction after injectable silicon oil with a sequential 3-step approach: transoral surgical excision, full-face fat grafting, and hyaluronic acid filler.

Aim: Human carbonic anhydrases (hCAs) are involved in many physiological processes including respiration, pH control, ion transport, bone resorption, and gastric fluid secretion. Recently, CA IX and CA XII have been studied for their role in cancer diseases, motivating the design of inhibitors of these isoforms.
Material And Method: Here, we used the tail approach to design a new series of monoaryl () and bicyclic () benzensulfonamide derivatives CA IX and CA XII inhibitors.

Background: Various countries have instituted risk governance measures to control and minimize the risks of chemicals at the national and international levels. Activities typically include risk assessment based on ) hazard and exposure assessments; ) setting limits on the production, use, and emissions of chemicals; ) enforcement of regulations; and ) monitoring the effectiveness of the measures taken. These steps largely depend on chemical analysis and access to pure chemical reference standards.

Background And Objectives: Understanding and managing seizure activity is crucial in neuro-oncology, especially for highly epileptogenic lesions like isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH)-mutant gliomas. Advanced MRI techniques such as diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) and neurite orientation dispersion and density imaging (NODDI) have been used to describe microstructural changes associated with epilepsy. However, their role in tumor-related epilepsy (TRE) remains unclear.

Introduction: Long-term prognosis of non-celiac enteropathies (NCEs) is poorly understood. We aimed to evaluate long-term outcomes and develop a prognostic score for NCEs.
Methods: NCEs patients from an international multicenter cohort (4 Italian centers,1 UK, 1 French,1 Norwegian,1 USA,1 Indian) followed-up over 30 years were enrolled.

Background And Objectives: The risk-to-benefit ratio of transopercular awake resection for recurrent insular diffuse gliomas is poorly studied. We assessed feasibility, safety, and efficacy of awake surgical resection of recurrent insular diffuse gliomas in patients with previous treatments (resection and/or radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy and/or combination).
Methods: Observational, retrospective, single-institution cohort analysis (2010-2023) of 123 consecutive adult patients operated on for an insular diffuse glioma (2021 World Health Organization classification) under awake conditions.

Objective: We evaluated the accuracy of oncologists' estimates of expected survival time in recurrent ovarian cancer.
Methods: Oncologists estimated expected survival time at baseline for each patient, who were then followed up for survival time. We hypothesized that oncologists' estimates of expected survival time would be independently significant predictors of survival, unbiased (approximately equal proportions [50%] living longer versus shorter than their expected survival time), or imprecise (<30% within 0.

Objective: No biomarkers are available to predict treatment response in patients with endometrial cancers who undergo fertility-sparing treatment. Therefore, we aimed to evaluate the prognostic role of molecular classification.
Methods: Patients with endometrial cancer who underwent fertility-sparing treatment with progestins between 2005 and 2021 were retrospectively identified.

Objective: Evaluation of prognostic factors is crucial in patients with endometrial cancer for optimal treatment planning and prognosis assessment. This study proposes a deep learning pipeline for tumor and uterus segmentation from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) images to predict deep myometrial invasion and cervical stroma invasion and thus assist clinicians in pre-operative workups.
Methods: Two experts consensually reviewed the MRIs and assessed myometrial invasion and cervical stromal invasion as per the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics staging classification, to compare the diagnostic performance of the model with the radiologic consensus.

Objective: Endometrial cancers can be classified into 4 molecular sub-groups: (1) POLE mutated (POLEmut), (2) mismatch repair deficiency/microsatellite-instable (MMRd/MSI-H), (3) TP53-mutant or p53 abnormal (p53abn), and (4) no specific mutational profile (NSMP). Although molecular classification is increasingly applied in oncology, its role in guiding fertility-sparing treatments for endometrial cancer remains unclear. This study examines the prognostic role of molecular classification in fertility-sparing treatment and its potential to guide treatment decisions.

Background: Vulvar squamous cell carcinoma incidence is increasing, especially among women under 60, largely attributed to human papillomavirus infections. Precursor pre-invasive vulvar lesions are frequently underdiagnosed. Routine vulvar inspection during cervical cancer screening could offer an opportunity for the detection of these lesions.

In this paper, the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) Task Force on Quality of Life (QoL) and Patient-Oriented Outcomes presents its position statements on health-related (HR) QoL assessment in epidermolysis bullosa (EB). The EADV TF on QoL and Patient-Oriented Outcomes recommends the use of the EB-specific instrument QOLEB in patients over the age of 10 years and, in addition to the QOLEB, the use of iscorEB-p in moderate-to-severe EB; the IntoDermQoL proxy instrument with its EB-specific module should be used in children aged under 5 years. The EB-specific instrument iscorEB-p, and the dermatology-specific instrument CDLQI may measure HRQoL in children with EB aged from 5 to 10 years.

Introduction: Veno-Arterial Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (VA-ECMO) has emerged as a crucial component of critical care medicine, mainly as a lifesaving intervention for patients experiencing refractory cardiac arrest and respiratory failure.
Background: In the past, VA-ECMO decannulation was surgical and often associated with a high rate of periprocedural complications, such as surgical site infection, bleeding, and patient mobilization costs. To reduce the rate of these adverse events, many percutaneous techniques utilizing suture-mediated closing devices have been adopted.
