Introduction: Antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) trastuzumab-deruxtecan (T-DXd) and sacituzumab-govitecan (SG) provided significant progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) improvements over chemotherapy (CT) in pretreated hormone receptor-positive (HR+) and triple-negative (TN)/HER2-low metastatic breast cancer (MBC). However, no direct comparison between the two exists, nor with the more recent datopotamab-deruxtecan (Dato-DXd).

Methods: We conducted a network meta-analysis (NMA) to compare efficacy and safety of T-DXd and SG in CT-pretreated HR+ and TN/HER2-low MBC and assess their benefit over standard CT, exploring also a comparison with Dato-DXd.

Infectious Agents and Cancer journal has recently launched a new collection of papers about "Point-of-Care (POC) for HPV-related genital cancers" putting together some interesting works on the accuracy of HPV tests for screening. This editorial initiative gave us the opportunity to reflect on the relations between accuracy measures, prevalence and characteristics of the tested population in the case of HPV-based screening. In screening test evaluation, we look at the clinical accuracy of the test as an intrinsic characteristic of the assay, which interacts with the characteristics of the population, the result being the screening performance.

Background: A normal luteal function is an essential factor for maintaining pregnancy; luteal phase deficiency decreases embryo implantation and pregnancy rate and increases the early miscarriage rate. In stimulated in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET) patients, luteal phase support (LPS) is achieved by the exogenous supplementation with progesterone to increase endometrial receptivity and pregnancy. C measurements on the carbonaceous fractions of atmospheric aerosol are an important tool for source apportionment. In this paper, a C-based source apportionment study was carried out on samples collected during winter 2021 at an urban background site in the Po Valley, one of the main pollution hot-spot areas in Europe. The samples were prepared using MISSMARPLE (MIlan Small-SaMple Automated Radiocarbon Preparation LinE for atmospheric aerosol), a recently developed sample preparation line for C measurements on atmospheric aerosol carbon fractions, specifically targeting small samples (about 50 μgC).
