Background: There is a lack of evidence regarding the effect of combining arm and leg training on arm exercise capacity, upper extremity functionality and safety in patients with implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs).
Objective: The aim of this study was to compare the effects of combined arm-leg endurance training (ET) with leg endurance training (ET) alone on arm exercise capacity, cardiorespiratory fitness, and safety issues in patients with ICDs.
Methods: In this prospective randomized controlled study, 24 caucasian patients with an ICD (NYHA class II-III, mean age: 59.

Introduction: We assessed whether postoperative day-1 (POD-1) complete blood count (CBC) test parameters, including red cell distribution width (RDW), mean platelet volume (MPV), plateletcrit (PCT), platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), could identify patients with gastric leaks after laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG).
Methods: Patients with postoperative gastric leaks (n=36) and patients with no complications who were selected by age-sex-BMI matching (n=254) were included in the study. The levels of RDW, MPW, PCT, PLR, and NLR were compared between groups in univariate analyses.

Background: Complement 3 glomerulopathy (C3G) and immune complex membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis (IC-MPGN) are ultra-rare chronic kidney diseases with an overall poor prognosis, with approximately 40-50% of patients progressing to kidney failure within 10 years of diagnosis. C3G is characterized by a high rate of disease recurrence in the transplanted kidney. However, there is a lack of published data on clinical outcomes in the pediatric population following transplantation.

The dementia epidemic, attributed to aging populations, represents a growing socio-economic burden. It is estimated that in 2019 about 55 million people worldwide were living with dementia. With many possible causes of dementia and the possibility of mixed dementia combining Alzheimer's disease (AD) and vascular dementia the question is whether diagnostic uncertainty exists or whether diagnostic constructs based on single etiologies are incorrect.

Background: Microcystic, elongated, and fragmented (MELF) pattern is one of the myometrial invasion patterns in endometrioid endometrial carcinoma (EEC), and it has been associated with poor prognostic parameters, especially lymphovascular space invasion (LVSI) and lymph node metastasis (LNM). This study aims to represent the frequency of MELF pattern in EEC and the relationship between MELF pattern with clinicopathological parameters, overall survival (OS), and disease-free survival (DFS).
Methods: In this retrospective cohort study, we examined 233 patients with EEC diagnoses with the result of a total hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy between 2009 and 2014.

Scalp avulsions are rare but can be quite morbid clinical manifestations. Pediatric patients are different from adults as they have not completed their physical, sexual, educational, or psychosocial development. Therefore, the devastation of a failed scalp replantation is much greater on these individuals, their whole future lives, and families.

Background: Tumor molecular profile analysis by Next Generation Sequencing technology is currently widely applied in clinical practice and has enabled the detection of predictive biomarkers of response to targeted treatment. In parallel with targeted therapies, immunotherapies are also evolving, revolutionizing cancer therapy, with Programmed Death-ligand 1 (PD-L1), Microsatellite instability (MSI), and Tumor Mutational Burden (TMB) analysis being the biomarkers employed most commonly.
Methods: In the present study, tumor molecular profile analysis was performed using a 161 gene NGS panel, containing the majority of clinically significant genes for cancer treatment selection.

Introduction And Hypothesis: Laparoscopic lateral mesh suspension (LLMS) has emerged as a practical, safe, and feasible alternative to sacrocolpopexy (SCP) for treating female genital apical prolapse. Although several prior studies have reported changes in the vaginal axis in women who have undergone SCP or sacrospinous ligament fixation (SSLF) surgery for prolapse, there is a lack of data on changes in the vaginal axis after LLMS. This study was aimed at investigating the level of anatomical correction following LLMS and comparing the vaginal axis on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in patients with apical genital prolapse.

Objective: During pectopexy surgery, the prolapsed uterus or the vaginal apex is fixed to the pectineal ligament. The anatomic structures found in the lateral part of the prevesical and paravaginal space above the obturator fossa, raise the importance of the surgical steps required to prevent complications. This study was conducted to evaluate the proximity of vascular structures to the pectineal ligament.

Histopathologic evaluations of mechanoreceptors are the first steps in understanding the exact sensorimotor system of the extremities. Many studies have shown these mechanoreceptors, but more electrophysiologic studies are needed to make sense of the reported phenomena.
