Purpose Of Review: Although there are a lot of studies examining the effects of different blocks for postoperative analgesia after video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS), the results are controversial.

Recent Findings: Paravertebral block, serratus anterior plane block and erector spinae plane block appear to be effective and beneficial for post-VATS analgesia, but probably in different manners.

Summary: All three blocks can be suggested for daily practice, the choice should be based on personal experience and preference of the anesthetist.

Case report: Surgical management of type 2 aortic dissection associated with bicuspid aortic valve and aortic coarctation.

This case report describes an exceptional case of aortic aneurysm co-occurring with type II dissection, bicuspid aortic valve, and severe aortic valve regurgitation in a patient with aortic coarctation. A 39-year-old man without any medical history was admitted to the hospital with chest pain. Physical examination revealed a holosystolic murmur and a noticeable blood pressure difference between the upper and lower extremities.

The Effect of Tub Bathing on the Skin and Bilirubin Levels of Babies Receiving Tunnel and Light-Emitting Diode Phototherapies: A Randomized Controlled Trial.

Objective: To investigate the effects of tub bathing on the skin and bilirubin levels of newborns receiving tunnel and light-emitting diode phototherapy.

Methods: In this randomized controlled trial, hospitalized newborns diagnosed with hyperbilirubinemia treated with a tunnel or light-emitting diode device were randomly assigned to either the experimental (bath) or control (no bath) groups using a computer program. The skin integrity moisture balance of all groups was recorded using the Newborn Skin Condition Score at 6, 12, and 24 hours after phototherapy, and their total serum bilirubin measurements were evaluated.

A Rare Case of Periprosthetic Joint Infection with subspecies dysgalactiae.

Periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) is a rare but most vital complication after joint arthroplasty and requires a revision surgery. Synovial fluid analysis is essential in diagnosis of the PJI, and conventional and molecular microbiologic investigations may help in determining the cause of the infection. Hair was collected from 39 hunted roe deer and divided by age (<36 months old/≥36 months old), sex (male/female), and area of origin (urbanized/rural area).
