Background: We aimed to evaluate the features of primary membranous nephropathy (MNP) in Turkish people.

Methods: This is a retrospective analysis of patients with biopsy-proven primary MNP. We obtained the data collected between 2009 and 2019 in the primary glomerulonephritis registry of the Turkish Society of Nephrology Glomerular Diseases Study Group (TSN-GOLD).

Microbial composition of Kombucha determined using amplicon sequencing and shotgun metagenomics.

Kombucha, a fermented tea generated from the co-culture of yeasts and bacteria, has gained worldwide popularity in recent years due to its potential benefits to human health. As a result, many studies have attempted to characterize both its biochemical properties and microbial composition. Here, we have applied a combination of whole metagenome sequencing (WMS) and amplicon (16S rRNA and Internal Transcribed Spacer 1 [ITS1]) sequencing to investigate the microbial communities of homemade Kombucha fermentations from day 3 to day 15.

A Novel Approach to Limit Chemical Deterioration of Gilthead Sea Bream (Sparus aurata) Fillets: Coating with Electrospun Nanofibers as Characterized by Molecular, Thermal, and Microstructural Properties.

Coating of sea bream fillets with thymol loaded chitosan based electrospun nanofibers (TLCN) and chitosan based nanafibers (CN) has been presented a novel approach to delay chemical deterioration. We assessed CN and TLCN with respect of scanting of total volatile basic nitrogen (TVBN), trimethylamine (TMA), thiobarbituric acid (TBA) deterioration during cold storage condition. Neuromuscular effects of cisatracurium in morbidly obese patients.

Obesity is associated with significant changes in body composition and function that may alter the pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of various drugs. In this study, we investigated the neuromuscular effects of cisatracurium in morbidly obese as compared to control group of normal body weight patients. In the morbidly obese group (n = 20), corrected weight was used to calculate the drug doses.

An analysis of global asymptotic stability of delayed cellular neural networks.

In this paper, a new sufficient condition is given for the uniqueness and global asymptotic stability of the equilibrium point for delayed cellular neural networks (DCNNs). This condition imposes constraints on the feedback and delayed feedback matrices of a DCNN independently of the delay parameter.
