Objectives: To investigate the relationship between blood matrix metalloproteinases -2 and -9 levels and disease severity in pregnant women with COVID-19 infection.

Material And Methods: A prospective cohort study was conducted at the Kanuni Sultan Suleyman Education and Research Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey. We measured serum MMPs-2 and-9 levels of the healthy pregnant controls and pregnant women with COVID-19 and sought to assess the status of these MMPs in pregnant women with COVID-19, especially in women with a severe form of COVID-19 as diagnosed by abnormal computed tomography (CT) findings in addition to severe clinical and laboratory findings.

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of EMG-driven robotic rehabilitation on hand motor functions and daily living activities of patients with acute ischemic stroke.

Materials & Method: A preliminary randomized-controlled, single-blind trial rectuited twenty-four patients with acute ischemic stroke (<1 month after cerebrovascular accident) and randomly allocated to experimental group (EG) and control group (CG). Neurophysiological rehabilitation program was performed to both EG and CG for 5 days a week and totally 15 sessions.

Introduction: The objective of this study was to investigate the possible relation between serum adiponectin and osteopontin levels as metabolic risk markers among women with different polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) phenotypes.

Material And Methods: In a University Hospital setting PCOS patients diagnosed according to Rotterdam Consensus Conference criteria with body mass index (BMI) between 18 and 35 were recruited.

Results: Overall, 57 PCOS patients and 57 age- and BMI-matched healthy controls were included in the study.

Splenic artery aneurysms are the most common visceral artery aneurysms and are known for their potential for rupture. Pregnancy and portal hypertension have been known as major risk factors. With improved methods of diagnosis and minimally invasive therapy, management and outcome of SAA may change significantly.

Patient with hypertriglyceridemia history tends to develop a pancreatitis episode. Triglyceride levels > 1000 mg/dl may trigger this pathology. Amylase is not a good predictor for pancreatitis associated with hypertriglyceridemia.
