Objectives: Preeclampsia, a high cause of fetomaternal morbidity-mortality, remains a significant burden affecting 8% of all pregnancies. Environmental conditions induce disease development leading to endothelial dysfunction in genetically predisposed women. Our aim is to discuss oxidative stress as a well-established contributing factor to disease progression with being the first study to show new evidence about serum dehydrogenase enzyme levels (isocitrate, malate, glutamate dehydrogenase) with oxidative markers (myeloperoxidase, total antioxidant-oxidant status, oxidative stress index).

Background: Signal recognition particle (SRP) promotes co-translational translocation of the proteins through or into the endoplasmic reticulum membrane and it also has elongation arrest function. SRP9 is one of the six protein subunits of SRP and functions in elongation arrest activity by forming a heterodimeric structure with SRP14. It is one of the substrates of ADAR, which has been found to have a role in breast cancer.

Introduction: Human papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted infection agent worldwide and, with high-risk (HR) HPV genotypes, is the main factor for development of cervical cancer. This study aimed to assess the prevalence of HPV and distribution of HR-HPV genotypes in cervical swab samples and compare them with demographic and clinical data.
Methodology: Cervical swab samples of 2,285 women between the age of 17 and 76 were assessed between January 2018 and October 2020 in order to obtain the data of Turkey.

To reach this information, a multicenter, cross-sectional study (COVQoL-CND) was planned. Parkinson's disease (PD), headache (HA), multiple sclerosis (MS), epilepsy (EP), polyneuropathy (PNP), and cerebrovascular disease (CVD) were selected as the CND.

Preeclampsia is one of the leading causes of maternal mortality-morbidity, and environmental factors act as the main driving force for the development of disease in genetically lean women. Trace element levels (zinc, copper) and thiol state (total, native thiol) may affect involved risk factors and play a role in the pathogenesis. The objective of our study is to assess trace element and thiol levels in patient and control groups.

Background/aim: The management of dura-related complications, such as the repairment of dural tears and reconstruction of large dural defects, remain the most challenging subjects of neurosurgery. Numerous surgical techniques and synthetic or autologous adjuvant materials have emerged as an adjunct to primary dural closure, which may result in further complications or side effects. Therefore, the subcutaneous autologous free adipose tissue graft has been recommended for the protection of the central nervous system and repairment of the meninges.

Vulvar cancers, which constitute 5% of all gynecologic cancers, are the fourth most common female genital cancers, preceded by uterine, ovarian and cervical cancers. The treatment methods employed for vulvar cancers have changed over the years, with previously applied radical surgical approaches, such as en bloc resection, being gradually suspended in favor of treatment approaches that require dissection of less tissue. While the removal of less tissue, which today's approaches have focused on, prevents morbidity, this method seems to result in higher risks of recurrence.
