Introduction Spasticity is a motor disorder characterized by a velocity-dependent increase in tonic stretch reflexes. It occurs as a result of overstimulation of the stretch reflex and is a component of the upper motor neuron syndrome. Intrathecal Baclofen (ITB) pump administration in patients with a diagnosis of spasticity may be a suitable option for reducing the complaints of the patients and increasing their quality of life.

Unlabelled: Psychiatric comorbidity in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a subject of critical scientific importance, affecting the quality of life, prognosis, and functional outcomes. The prevalence of psychiatric disorders vary considerably according to variables such as index subject characteristics, study setting, sampling frame, diagnostic methods used, as well as country of geographic origin. To date, most studies comprise clinical or treatment referral samples in tertiary care or subjects enrolled in clinical trials and genetic cohort collections.

Objectives: It has been postulated that neurotrophin dysregulation leads to disorganisation in neuronal networks, which results in schizophrenia. The current study sets out to evaluate if the finding of lower brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) levels in schizophrenia patients could be confirmed in an independent cohort and to investigate if the BDNF levels can be altered with different treatment modalities such as electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and/or antipsychotic pharmacotherapy (PT).
Methods: A total of 54 male patients with schizophrenia and 35 healthy controls were included in the study.

Background And Aim: Multilevel posterior spinal fusion surgery in adults is associated with significant intra- and postoperative blood loss. Tranexamic acid (TXA) is an antifibrinolytic agent for reducing blood loss and allogenic blood transfusion. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of TXA in reducing blood loss and improving hematologic parameters in adult patients undergoing posterior thoracic/lumbar instrumented spinal fusion surgery.

Introduction Myelography is a radiological examination method that has been used for the diagnosis of spinal canal pathologies for a long time. More than 90 years of experience has been improved by the development of increasingly less toxic contrast agents. Nowadays, although there are many advanced diagnostic tools, lumbar myelography is a direct imaging technique and so it is a powerful diagnostic method for patients whose treatment has not been decided.

Aim The aim of this study is to apply surgical treatments to upper lumbar disc hernias in order to provide lumbar stability and lumbar lordosis using a transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) cage and to preserve the success rate of surgical results by protecting neural structures without excessive subject tension. Material and methods Between 2012 and 2017, 32 patients who had undergone an operation for upper lumbar disc herniation and who had received a transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion cage using a posterior technique were evaluated retrospectively. Results The radiological and clinical findings, surgical methods, and results of the patients were evaluated.

Background: A dural tear (DT) is the most commonly encountered complication during lumbar spine surgery. The incidence of DT increases depending on the complexity of the surgical procedure and the presence of a DT is related to a poor outcome and patient satisfaction.
Objectives: This study aimed to determine the incidence and clinical outcomes of DTs in those patients who undergo lumbar disc surgery.
Objective: This study aimed to determine the prevalence and comorbidities of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) by evaluating a large-scale nation-wide sample of children.
Method: The inclusion criterion was being enrolled as a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th-grade student. A semi-structured diagnostic interview (K-SADS-PL), DSM-IV-Based Screening Scale for Disruptive Behavior Disorders, and assessment of impairment (by both parents and teachers) were applied to 5,842 participants.

Background And Purpose: Transcranial magnetic stimulation is a non-invasive procedure that uses robust magnetic fields to create an electrical current in the cerebral cortex. Dual stimulation consists of administering subthre-shold conditioning stimulation (CS), then suprathreshold test stimulation (TS). When the interstimulus interval (ISI) is 1-6 msec, the motor evoked potential (MEP) decreases in amplitude; this decrease is termed "short interval intracortical inhibition" (SICI); when the ISI is 7-30 msec, an increase in MEP amplitude occurs, termed "short interval intracortical facilitation" (SICF).
