Introduction: Oral lichen planus (OLP) is a chronic disorder affecting the oral mucosa, potentially associated with xerostomia, either independently or concurrently. Research suggests that approximately 45% of patients with erythematous and ulcerative OLP may experience dry mouth sensations. The aim of this systematic review is to assess the current literature regarding the potential relationship or co-occurrence of xerostomia with OLP.

Periodontitis (PD) is a chronic gum illness that may be hard to cure for a number of reasons, including the fact that no one knows what causes it, the side effects of anti-microbial treatment, and how various kinds of bacteria interact with one another. As a result, novel therapeutic approaches for PD treatment must be developed. Additionally, supplementary antibacterial regimens, including local and systemic medication administration of chemical agents, are necessary for deep pockets to assist with mechanical debridement of tooth surfaces.

Tunnel field-effect transistors (TFETs) are gaining interest for low-power applications, but challenges like poor drive current, delayed saturation, and ambipolarity can hinder their performance. This work proposes a dopingless heterojunction TFET (DL-HTDET) utilizing advanced materials, all based on phosphorus, to address these issues. Our approach involves a comprehensive and accurate analysis of the DL-HTDET's behavior.

We conducted this meta-analysis to evaluate the levels of NLR and PLR of patients with periodontitis compared to those of healthy controls. METHODS: Web of Science, PubMed, ProQuest, Scopus, and Open Grey were searched for studies published before October 20, 2024, without any limitation on date and language; then, using the random-effects model, we reported a standardized mean difference (SMD) with a 95% confidence interval (CI).

The density functional theory (DFT) method is applied to investigate the ability of transition metals porphyrins induced in carbon nanocone (TM-PCNC, TM = Ti, Cr, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, and Zn) for identifying and eliminating undesirable SM molecules from the surrounding. The sulfur mustard is effectively adsorbed onto the surface of nanocones through a chemical process. Based on the DFT calculations, the Ti-PCNC displays an appropriate percentage change in energy gap (%ΔE = 11.
