Background: Identifying the hidden and pervasive phenomenon of burnout among family caregivers of older adults with chronic disease requires the use of a valid and reliable tool tailored to the cultural structure of the target community. Therefore, the present study aimed to design and psychometrically evaluate the family caregivers burnout inventory (FCBI) of older adults with chronic disease.
Methods: This research is a sequential exploratory mixed-methods study focused on instrument design, conducted in Iran in 2024.

This study evaluated the validity and reliability of the Persian version of Positive Body Image among Adolescents Scale (PBIAS-P) in Tehran, Iran, in order to better understand adolescents' positive perceptions of their physical selves and the accompanying thoughts and emotions. This cross-sectional study was carried out involving adolescents from Tehran Province, Iran, in 2022. Both exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were performed in order to evaluate the construct validity of the PBIAS-P.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) ranks as the third most aggressive tumor globally, and it can be categorized into two forms: colitis-mediated CRC and sporadic CRC. The therapeutic approaches for CRC encompass surgical intervention, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy. However, even with the implementation of these techniques, the 5-year survival rate for metastatic CRC remains at a mere 12-14%.

Hemorrhage control is vital for clinical outcomes after surgical treatment and pre-hospital trauma injuries. Numerous biomaterials have been investigated to control surgical and traumatic bleeding. In this study, for the first time, perlite was introduced as an aluminosilicate biomaterial and compared with other ceramics such as kaolin and bentonite in terms of morphology, cytotoxicity, mutagenicity, and hemostatic evaluations.

Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) as a rich source of effective growth factors has been used as a scaffold in tissue regeneration. It is known that PRF exhibits rapid degradability against enzymes, which should be decreased using crosslinking agents to reduce the release rate of growth factors and increase the effectiveness of tissue regeneration. In this study, a carbodiimide crosslinker with different concentrations (0.

Recent studies have demonstrated that making the sorts of oxygen reactive, such as nitric oxide, can cause oxidative lipid damage, protein damage, and damage to the DNA of cells. Sperm DNA damage effect on the reduction of sperm mobility and damage of acrosome membrane lead to the inability of sperm to fertilize the oocyte. Increasing expression of endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) gene is seen in various diseases such as cardiovascular and infertility diseases.

A rapid and efficient solvent-free one-pot synthesis of coumarin derivatives by Pechmann condensation reactions of phenols with ethyl acetoacetate using FeF3 as a catalyst under microwave irradiation is described. This one-pot synthesis on a solid inorganic support provides the products in good yields. The newly synthesized compounds were systematically characterized by IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, MS and elemental CHN analyses.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an inflammatory demyelinating disease of the central nervous system, characterized by infiltration of immune cells in the central nervous system, localized myelin destruction and loss of oligodendrocytes. Early detection of MS may be possible via blood and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) tests based on disease pathology. Leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF), a neurotrophic cytokine, has previously been shown to limit autoimmune demyelination and oligodendrocyte loss in a murine model of MS.

In this study, calcium phosphate nanoparticles with two phases, fluorapatite (FA; Ca(10)(PO(4))(6)F(2)) and hydroxyapatite (HA; Ca(10)(PO(4))(6)(OH)(2)), were prepared using the solgel method. Ethyl phosphate, hydrated calcium nitrate, and ammonium fluoride were used, respectively, as P, Ca, and F precursors with a Ca:P ratio of 1:72. Powders obtained from the sol-gel process were studied after they were dried at 80°C and heat treated at 550°C.

Peripheral nerve injuries can lead to lifetime loss of function and permanent disfigurement. Different methods, such as conventional allograft procedures and use of biologic tubes present problems when used for damaged peripheral nerve reconstruction. Designed scaffolds comprised of natural and synthetic materials are now widely used in the reconstruction of damaged tissues.
