Owing to their nanosized hollow cylindrical structure, CNTs hold the promise to be utilized as desired materials for encapsulating molecules which demonstrate wide inferences in drug delivery. Here we evaluate the possibility of drug release from the CNTs with various types and edge chemistry by reactive MD simulation to explain the scientifically reliable relations for proposed process. It was shown that heating of CNTs (up to 750 K) cannot be used for release of incorporated drug (phenylalanine) into water and even carbonated water solvent with very low boiling temperature.

Contrary to the published conclusions in the literature concerning the origin of the generalized anomeric relationships in open-chain nonplanar systems, its origin has remained an open question. In order to explore the origin of the generalized anomeric relationships in open-chain nonplanar systems, we assessed the roles and contributions of the effective factors on the conformational properties of methyl propargyl ether (1), methyl propargyl sulfide (2), and methyl propargyl selenide (3) by means of the G3MP2, CCSD(T), MP2, LC-ωPBE, and B3LYP methods and natural bond orbital (NBO) interpretations. We examined the contributions of the hyperconjugative interactions on the conformational preferences of compounds 1-3 by the deletions of the orbitals overlapping from the Fock matrices of the gauche- and anti-conformations.

May 2017

Department of Nanochemistry, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences Branch, Islamic Azad University (IAUPS), Tehran, Iran.

Membranes have attracted much attention for the efficient separation of gas mixtures, due to their specific structural and unique properties. In this work, density functional theory (DFT) and molecular dynamic (MD) simulations have been employed to evaluate the performance of nanoporous hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) monolayers for hydrogen purification. Various porous membranes were designed, and full structural relaxation was carried out by using DFT calculations and then MD simulations to investigate the H purification performance of the nanoporous h-BN membranes.

f Department of Nanotechnology, Faculty of Advance Science and Technology, Pharmaceutical Sciences Branch , Islamic Azad University (IAUPS), Tehran , Iran.

Nanoparticles (NPs) are one of the interesting and widely studying issues mainly because of their particular physico-chemical features and broad applications in the field of biomedical sciences, such as diagnosis and drug delivery. In this study, the interaction of iron nanoparticles (Fe-NPs) with Tau protein and PC12 cell, as potential nervous system models, was investigated with a range of techniques including dynamic light scattering, intrinsic fluorescence spectroscopy, circular dichroism, [(3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl-tetrazolium-bromid] assay, and acridine orange/ethidium bromide (AO/EB) dual staining method. An inverse correlation between Stern and Volmer constant (K) and temperature indicated a probable static quenching mechanism occurred between Tau protein and Fe-NPs.

Aim Of The Study: Propafenone (PPF) is an antiarrhythmic drug, metabolized mainly by CYP2D6 to 5-hydroxypropafenone (5OH-PPF) and by CYP3A4 to norpropafenone (NOR-PPF). CYP2D6 shows a high degree of genetic polymorphism which is associated with diminished antiarrhythmic efficacy or cardiac seizures/cardiotoxicity. This study aimed to investigate the effect of the CYP2D6 polymorphism on the pharmacokinetics of PPF and its two main metabolites.
