Anaerobic bacteria, such as Lactobacillus plantarum (LP), are known to play a significant role in maintaining gut health and protecting against enteric pathogens in animals. The present study aimed to develop a safe, affordable, and eco-friendly method for producing LP-based probiotics and evaluate their efficacy in mitigating Salmonella-induced diarrhea in broiler chickens. The study employed three different culture media (MRS, TSB, and Baird Parker) to grow LP, which was then dried using a spray-drying technique to produce a stable probiotic formulation.

Background: Growing the human brain requires all necessary nutrients to form and maintain, so the development of cognitive functions of infants and children depends on adequate nutrition. Children whose mothers had inadequate nutrition are at high risk for cognitive dysfunction. The objective of the present study was to review the studies conducted on "the relationship between nutrient intake during pregnancy and the development of cognitive functions in toddlers".

The goal of this inquiry was to analyze the impact of incorporating and using a novel premix-spray method on the following aspects: growth rate, digestive enzyme activity, antioxidant levels, gut microbiome composition, and the morphological characteristics of the duodenum, jejunum, and ileum in broiler chickens. Furthermore, this study explored the potential benefits of duo strains of probiotics (DSP) in reducing flatulence, regulating stool microbial population, and improving diarrhea symptoms. A total of 360 one-day-old mixed-sex Plymouth Rock chicks (IW: 51 ± 33 g) were randomly divided into two treatment groups.

Background: Persistent liver damage contributes to the development of liver fibrosis, marked by an accumulation of extracellular matrix. Macrophages play a pivotal role in this process, with the CCL2-CCR2 and CX3CR1-CX3CL1 axes serving as key regulators of macrophage recruitment, liver infiltration, and differentiation. In this study, utilizing a rat model of carbon tetrachloride (CCL4)-induced liver fibrosis, we aimed to investigate the impact of imatinib and bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs) on the expression of these axis.

Background: Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a prevalent type of leukemia that is associated with high rates of chemoresistance, including resistance to Azacitidine (AZA). Understanding the molecular mechanisms of chemoresistance can lead to the development of novel therapeutic approaches. In this study, we aimed to identify dysregulated miRNAs and their target genes involved in chemoresistance to AZA in AML patients.

Objective: Haemorrhoids are one of the most common gastrointestinal and anal diseases. In olive oil and honey propolis, flavonoids have beneficial effects on improving vascular function and decreasing vascular resistance. In this study, we aimed to produce a combination of these two substances in the form of lotions and assess their healing and side effects in comparison with routine treatment, anti-haemorrhoid ointment (containing hydrocortisone and lidocaine).

Predicting the therapeutic result of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) treatment could save time and costs as ineffective treatment can be avoided. To this end, we presented a machine-learning-based strategy for classifying patients with major depression disorder (MDD) into responders (R) and nonresponders (NR) to rTMS treatment. Resting state EEG data were recorded using 32 electrodes from 88 MDD patients before treatment.

Numerical simulation of magnetic nanoparticle hyperthermia for cancer treatment has been investigated in this study. The presented simulation did account for the effects of fluid flow, mass flow, and heat transfer during the MNP hyperthermia. The tumor was assumed to be a porous slab, 30% of which had been necrosed previously, with two capillaries, where magnetic nanoparticles were added into the bloodstream and distributed in the tumor by blood flow through capillaries.

Background And Aims: Although many health strategic plans have been developed by scholars and organizations, they still suffer from a limited view. Since most health-related strategies in the future will depend on information technology (IT), as the main driver of today's industry, technology, and society, IT merits attention in health strategic plans. While the majority of the health strategic plan developed based on the interviews and questioner and these plans didn't consider the role of IT in their actions, this research will develop a framework to integrate risk and maturity analysis with the strategic planning process in health information technology strategic plan.

Purpose: Branched-chain amino acid (BCAA) can boost anabolism through an increase in the internal concentration of BCAA, which leads to facilitating anabolic hormone release to stimulate the power of the muscles. Studies on administration of BCAA to minimize fatigue substances during long periods of high intensity exercise have been conducted. However, there are disagreements concerning the results of these studies.

Introduction: Disturbances associated with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) can be due to the pathologic process of the disease or insufficient physical fitness. The benefits of exercise in improving cardiopulmonary fitness have been demonstrated in animal studies and also clinical trials on cardiovascular patients and healthy human cases; however, its effectiveness in people with MS(pwMS) is still unknown. people with MS often engage in rehabilitation programs for exercise tolerance improvement.
