Anaerobic bacteria, such as Lactobacillus plantarum (LP), are known to play a significant role in maintaining gut health and protecting against enteric pathogens in animals. The present study aimed to develop a safe, affordable, and eco-friendly method for producing LP-based probiotics and evaluate their efficacy in mitigating Salmonella-induced diarrhea in broiler chickens. The study employed three different culture media (MRS, TSB, and Baird Parker) to grow LP, which was then dried using a spray-drying technique to produce a stable probiotic formulation.

To this end, we presented a machine-learning-based strategy for classifying patients with major depression disorder (MDD) into responders (R) and nonresponders (NR) to rTMS treatment. Resting state EEG data were recorded using 32 electrodes from 88 MDD patients before treatment.

Human factors, including the level of cognitive functioning, are the most influential factors in road traffic crashes. Among cognitive abilities, executive functions (EFs) of the brain play a pivotal role in driving performance and outcomes, including crash numbers. The current study was aimed to explore, for the first time, the ability of EF tests to predict success on the official driving tests in applicants of driving license in Iran.
