Background: Numerous studies have now demonstrated that heart failure with a normal ejection fraction (HFnlEF) is common. Hypertension is also the most commonly associated cardiac condition in patients with HFnlEF. Despite the observed link between microalbuminuria, obesity, and cardiovascular disorders, this question has remained - 'Which is more important for the prediction and prevention of diastolic dysfunction in non-diabetic hypertensive patients?'
Methods: The current study was a cross-section study conducted on a total of 126 non-diabetic hypertensive patients screened to identify those with hypertension.

Background: Considering the role of maternal thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) receptor blocking antibody (TRAb) in the etiology of congenital hypothyroidism (CH), this study aimed to determine TRAb among patients with CH in Isfahan, Iran.
Methods: In this case-control study, patients with CH and their mothers were compared with a group of healthy neonates and their mothers. Venous blood samples were obtained for measurement of TRAb using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method among mothers and their neonates.

Corneal bee sting is an uncommon environmental eye injury that can result in various ocular complications with an etiology of penetrating, immunologic, and toxic effects of the stinger and its injected venom. In this study we present our experience in the management of a middle-aged male with a right-sided deep corneal bee sting. On arrival, the patient was complaining of severe pain, blurry vision with acuity of 160/200, and tearing, which he had experienced soon after the injury.

Methods: In this study, 144 patients with STEMI admitted to the Isfahan University of Medical Sciences hospitals were followed in two groups for one month.

Celiac disease (CD) was traditionally believed to be a chronic enteropathy, almost exclusively affecting people of European origin. Celiac disease is the permanent intolerance to dietary gluten, the major protein component of wheat.
