Proteomic analysis of aqueous humor in canine primary angle-closure glaucoma in American Cocker Spaniel dogs.

Objective: To analyze proteomic profiles of the aqueous humor (AH) of canines with primary angle-closure glaucoma (PACG) and identify associated protein alterations.

Animals Studied: Six American Cocker Spaniels with PACG and six American Cocker Spaniels without ocular diseases.

Methods: Aqueous humor samples were collected from six American Cocker Spaniels with PACG at Seoul National University, VMTH, and six healthy Cocker Spaniels without ocular disease at Irion Animal Hospital.

A case of unusual persistent pupillary membrane with total anterior capsular pigmentation.

A 5-year-old castrated male poodle presented with blindness. Ophthalmic examinations including slit-lamp biomicroscopy, tonometry, ultrasonography, and electroretinography were performed. The anterior lens capsule of the right eye (OD) was totally pigmented, with persistent pupillary membranes (PPMs).

Renal oncocytoma in a cat with chronic renal failure.

Case Summary: A 9-year-old male neutered domestic shorthair cat presented with anorexia. Ultrasonography showed an irregularly shaped hypoechoic mass in the cranial pole of the right kidney. Ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration of the renal mass was performed.

High resolution computed tomographic evaluation of bronchial wall thickness in healthy and clinically asthmatic cats.

The objective of study is to determine the thickness of bronchial walls of clinically diagnosed asthmatic cats using high resolution computed tomography (HRCT) compared to that of healthy cats. The bronchial walls and pulmonary arteries were measured in healthy 16 cats and clinically asthmatic 4 cats. The bronchial walls and pulmonary arteries were measured under general anesthesia with positive pressure inspiration using HRCT.

Clinical application of quantitative computed tomography in osteogenesis imperfecta-suspected cat.

One-year-old male Persian cat presented with multiple fractures and no known traumatic history. Marked decrease of bone radiopacity and thin cortices of all long bones were identified on radiography. Tentative diagnosis was osteogenesis imperfecta, a congenital disorder characterized by fragile bone.
