The over consumption of high fat, sugar, and salt foods increases population risk of overweight, obesity and diet-related noncommunicable diseases. The food environment mediates consumer food choices and thus plays an important role in diet quality and related health outcomes. The built food environment, where most people in high income countries access their food, has been found to be obesogenic.

Objective: To estimate the longitudinal bidirectional association between parent-child conflict and child externalizing and internalizing symptoms from the preschool years through adolescence.
Method: A nationally representative longitudinal study recruited 11,134 children at birth and followed them from December 2010 through June 2022. Primary caregivers completed validated measures at each follow-up, yielding data on parent-child conflict and child symptoms at ages 3, 5, 7, 9, and 13 years.

Background: Epidemiological data for sarcoma in adolescents and young adults (AYAs) and across age groups are limited. We aim to: 1) update sarcoma incidence, survival, and changes over time in European AYAs; 2) provide an updated comparison of sarcoma survival in AYAs versus children and mature adults.
Methods: We calculated crude incidence rates (IR) per 100,000 European population per year from 2006 to 2013.

Background: CONCORD-3 highlighted wide disparities in population-based 5-year net survival for cutaneous melanoma during 2000-2014. Studies showed a survival advantage in women, but the reasons are not completely understood. We aim to estimate trends in age-standardised 5-year net survival by sex and to examine the role of age, anatomic location and stage on the survival advantage for women worldwide.

The gold standard method of diagnosis of oral leukoplakia (OLK) is a tissue biopsy followed by histological examination. Raman spectroscopic studies of cytological brush biopsy and saliva samples have previously been shown to differentiate low (no and mild dysplasia) and high risk (moderate and severe dysplasia) OLKs, discriminant models of cellular samples achieving higher specificity, whereas those based on saliva samples achieved higher sensitivity. The current study combines the spectral data sets of cell and saliva samples in an attempt to improve the overall efficiency of the discriminating models.

Background: People with MS show abnormal thinning of the retinal layers, which is associated with clinical disability and brain atrophy, and is a potential surrogate marker of neurodegeneration and treatment effects.
Objective: To evaluate the utility of retinal thickness as a surrogate marker of neurodegeneration and treatment effect in participants with secondary progressive MS (SPMS) from the optical coherence tomography (OCT) substudy of the EXPAND Phase 3 clinical trial (siponimod versus placebo).
Methods: In the OCT substudy population (n = 159), treatment effects on change in the average thickness of the retinal layer, peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (pRNFL), and combined macular ganglion cell and inner plexiform layers (GCIPL) were analyzed by high-definition spectral domain OCT at months 3, 12, and 24.

Food insecurity (also known as food poverty) is the inability to afford or access a healthy diet. It has become recognised as a public health emergency and is a priority in the context of the environmental, geopolitical and socio-economic implications on businesses, households and civic society. This review paper aims to discuss the merits of collecting food insecurity data and its importance in informing cross-sectoral government and others' understanding, policymaking and action on hunger.

Background: Radical cystectomy has the potential to be a curative strategy for patients with aggressive bladder cancer. Emerging evidence over the last 20 years has shown that minimally invasive surgical approaches using robotics in performing this highly complex and morbid operation can achieve the same oncological outcomes while reducing complications for the patient.
Objective: This paper aims to present a managerial and leadership roadmap for change to robotic cystectomy for patients with advanced bladder cancer to achieve improved patient outcomes while embracing technological developments in the delivery of cancer care.

Radiation pneumonitis (RP) is characterized by inflammation and is associated with autophagy. However, the relationship between functional genetic variants of autophagy-related genes and radiation pneumonitis remains unknow. In this study we aimed to investigate whether genetic variants of genes involved in autophagy are associated with radiation pneumonitis.

Background: Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease, characterized by eczematous skin lesions and pruritus. There is an unmet need for effective first-line systemic therapies with good safety profiles, particularly oral medications. Orismilast is a novel first-in-class oral phosphodiesterase-4 (PDE4) B/D inhibitor under investigation for the treatment of moderate-to-severe AD.

Importance: The effect of adjuvant chemotherapy following resection of pancreatic adenocarcinoma after preoperative (m)FOLFIRINOX (combination leucovorin calcium [folinic acid], fluorouracil, irinotecan hydrochloride, and oxaliplatin in full or modified dosing) chemotherapy on overall survival (OS) is unclear because current studies do not account for the number of cycles of preoperative chemotherapy and adjuvant chemotherapy regimen.
Objective: To investigate the association of adjuvant chemotherapy following resection of pancreatic adenocarcinoma after preoperative (m)FOLFIRINOX with OS, taking into account the number of cycles of preoperative chemotherapy and adjuvant chemotherapy regimen.
Design, Setting, And Participants: This retrospective cohort study included patients with localized pancreatic adenocarcinoma treated with 2 to 11 cycles of preoperative (m)FOLFIRINOX followed by resection across 48 centers in 20 countries from 2010 to 2018.

DICER1-associated sarcoma is an emerging entity, defined by either somatic or germline dicer 1, ribonuclease III (DICER1) mutations and sharing characteristic morphologic features irrespective of the site of origin. In addition to the DICER1 driver mutation, concurrent genomic alterations, including tumor protein 53 (TP53) inactivation and RAS pathway activation, are frequently detected. Tumors that morphologically resemble malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor (MPNST) have rarely been reported among DICER1 sarcomas and often pose diagnostic challenges.

The impact of high heterogeneity of cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) on triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) immunotherapy response has not been fully elucidated, restricting progress in precision immuno-oncology. We integrated single-cell transcriptomic data from 18 TNBC patients and analyzed fibroblast subpopulations. Extracellular matrix CAFs (ecmCAFs) were identified as a fibroblast subpopulation with distinct ECM-associated characteristics.
