Nondilated left ventricular cardiomyopathy (NDLVC) is a newly defined category of cardiomyopathy. We sought to evaluate and compare the phenotype of NDLVC with DCM using cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging and to investigate the prognostic significance of these conditions. One hundred and fifty patients suspected of having cardiomyopathy referred for CMR were recruited.

The effect of education on pre-operative anxiety in patients undergoing extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy.

Background: The period before diagnostic and therapeutic procedures is associated with increased anxiety levels in patients due to a lack of sufficient information. This study aimed to determine the effect of education on physiological and psychological anxiety levels in patients before extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL).

Subdural empyema is a very rare brain infection presenting mostly with fever, weakness, and altered level of consciousness, and has been recently noted as a new complication of COVID-19.

Acinetobacter baumannii is a bacteria associated with bloodstream infection and subsequent death from high antibiotic resistance in this group of patients. We evaluated bloodstream infections of Acinetobacter baumannii in hematopoietic stem cell transplant recipients.
