Reactive oxygen species (ROS) generated by oxidative stress have emerged as critical factors in the pathophysiology of malignancies. This study investigated the antioxidant and anticancer properties of zinc (Zn), selenium (Se), and silver (Ag) nanoparticles (NPs) against the A2780 human ovarian cancer cell line. Here, the bioinformatics approach was used to determine the top differentially expressed genes associated with oxidative stress.

Gastrin-releasing peptide receptors (GRPRs) overexpressed in many cancers are known as promising biomarkers to target tumors such as prostate, breast, and lung cancers. As the early diagnosis of the cancers can serve for better treatment of the patients, [In]In-DOTA-Pip-D-Phe-Gln-Trp-Ala-Val-Gly-His-Sta-Leu-NH2 ([In]In-RM2) was prepared using an in-house developed Sn/In generator. 0.

Context: Exploration for renewable and environmentally friendly energy sources has become a major challenge to overcome the depletion of fossil fuels and their environmental hazards. Therefore, solar cell technology, as an alternative solution, has attracted the interest of many researchers. In the present work, the CsXInBr (X = Cu or Ag) compounds as lead-free halide perovskites have been studied due to their direct energy gap in the range of solar energy, thermodynamic stability, low effective mass of electrons, and high absorption coefficient.

This paper presents a fractional-order model using the Caputo differential operator to study Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) dynamics, calibrated with Liberian data. The model demonstrates improved accuracy over integer-order counterparts, particularly in capturing behavioral changes during outbreaks. Stability analysis, Lyapunov functions, and a validated numerical method strengthen its mathematical foundation.

Confounding is a significant challenge in endodontic research, as it can blur the true effect and relationship between exposure and outcomes, potentially compromising the internal validity of research findings. Confounding variables can create apparent differences between study groups when no actual difference exists or fail to reveal true differences when they are present. Additionally, confounding can lead to either an underestimation or an overestimation of the effect of exposure on the outcome.

Introduction: In Iran, the assessment of osteoporosis through tools like dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry poses significant challenges due to their high costs and limited availability, particularly in small cities and rural areas. Our objective was to employ a variety of machine learning (ML) techniques to evaluate the accuracy and precision of each method, with the aim of identifying the most accurate pattern for diagnosing the osteoporosis risks.
Methods: We analysed the data related to osteoporosis risk factors obtained from the Fasa Adults Cohort Study in eight ML methods, including logistic regression (LR), baseline LR, decision tree classifiers (DT), support vector classifiers (SVC), random forest classifiers (RF), linear discriminant analysis (LDA), K nearest neighbour classifiers (KNN) and extreme gradient boosting (XGB).

Here, a straightforward design is employed to synthesize a nanocatalyst based on a carbon-activated modified metal-organic framework using the solvothermal method. This work presents a simple and practical approach for producing the activated carbon derived from the Thymus plant (ACT) modified with amine-functionalized isoreticular metal-organic framework-3 (IRMOF-3) to create an ACT@IRMOF-3 core-shell structure. Successful functionalization was confirmed through N adsorption isotherms, FT-IR, FE-SEM, TEM, EDS, elemental mapping, TGA, and XRD analysis.
